The continuing good weather means that we had to increase our seating outside. Al fresco dining, refreshing sangria and laughter under the sun at Didsbury's Mediterranean Oasis.

Talking about things that are almost 4000 years old and found in #Crete Here are some photos from the Palace of Knossos (close to Heraklion) starting with the bull leaping fresco - a copy of which can also be found in our restaurant in #Didsbury then a nice shot of the grand staircase, followed by the Queen’s Apartment. (we are using the dolphins to decorate the front page of our new menus - coming soon- or will it be the Griffin couchant from the throne room?) the last pictu...re is taken in the Throne room.
It is estimated that in its peak the palace and surrounding city boasted a population of 100000 people shortly after 1700BC

The oldest olive tree probably in the world, still produces olives today. Scientists have estimate it to be 4.000 old.
For those of you travelling to Crete soon, The Olive tree of Vouves can be found in the village of Ano Vouves in the municipal unit of Kolymvari close to Chania

What a fabulous night. Not only was the food excellent so were the staff. Nothing was too much for them. I will definitely recommend and we will be back. Loved every minute. �

Went with friends for the first time on Friday 14th April and really enjoyed the food, atmosphere and the staff were very helpful in helping us choose from a great menu. Will be returning again in the coming months. Recommend this restaurant to people who like good Greek food. We had a great night.

We were a large party (25), they dealt with it brilliantly, no long wait, the dishes just flowed. The food was great, very filling, but thanks to one of the waitresses who told me to pace myself as there were lots of courses, I didn’t feel over full. Great night, great food, great staff, definitely go again.

We went here for the second time last night and it was just as good as the first time. The food is delicious and the staff are very friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this place.

Thank you to every member of staff that made my dads surprise 60th so fantastic! You accommodated such a large party and made us feel so well looked after! Not one of you stopped and it’s a testament to why I chose this venue in the first place. Been coming here for about 5 years and can’t fault it! Soooo much tasty authentic food, a lovely atmosphere! You’re hard work and dedication to make my dads birthday special is very much appreciated! Thank you again �

Sundays are casual relaxed with a piano player from 5.30 onwards adding a bit of character to the atmosphere. The Food & service are spot in with attentive staff served with a smile.

Personally I skipped starters and went for Mezes & sides of pitta and rice to mop up all those tasty sauces.

So.. Full.

The 5 dishes deal left two of us full, superb food too!

My new favourite local restaurant - can not believe we have not been sooner. Service very prompt and friendly, food out of this world tasty and piping hot served very quickly. Portions LARGE - We over ordered 5 Meze is more than enough for a couple we had 6 with 2 starters. We will 100% be back really soon,

Me and the hubby sneaked out for a little meze and omg was we in for a treat! It was thee best moussaka I think I have ever tasted in the Uk and possibly Greece 🇬🇷 it was gourgous ! The stifado was bloody lovely too ! Me and the hubby was in Greek heaven and seeing that we lived in Crete for many years this was a taste of our 2nd home - sorry Deansgate dimitris but we now have a new favourite. Great service even though very busy, very attentive and fantastic value . See you again soon

Great selection of Tapas dishes also mains available .Menu set out to suit all appetites . We had small portion Tapas and dips and a good choice of breads for sharing while we browsed the menu. Party of 8 good ,pleasant service . Can recommend the meatballs,chilli chicken, moussaka The larger Tapas dishes 5 for £30 are excellent value.

Food was very tasty, reasonable prices, nice staff and good service.

I would not recommend this place to anyone after the way I was treated sent several emails and never had a response such a shame as used to be such a nice place but after making my child cry I'd never go back
