Went to the Peaky Blinders Night. What a great organised event, from the food to the entertainment, to the serving staff.



Amazing time, great time shared with great people

Went to the 90s night and had an amazing time. Bar staff were fantastic no wait time at all. Venue was great. DJ was awesome loved the music and was a really nice atmosphere not overcrowded no waits for the loos plenty of space for a bit of a boogie! Cant wait for the next one!

We held another wonderful family event here on Sunday and we were in safe hands again! Great support from Julie and Martin and all of the staff, lovely spacious venue which fit a bouncy castle and was accessible for our disabled guests and those with prams and a lovely, warm, welcoming feeling. Much thanks!

We had a lovely Mother’s Day afternoon tea for 5 today. All the sandwiches, cakes and scones were fresh and very tasty with endless tea to wash it down with!! Thoroughly good value and most enjoyable! Thanks guys xx

Visited tonight with my mam and the service could not have been better. We got there around 4.30 and they had stopped serving food at 4. Despite this they advised they still had fresh sandwiches and cakes and would be happy to give us an afternoon tea. We could not have been happier as we were both famished. The lovely man who I think was the owner also offered us a sample of some delicious chocolate wine which was beautiful!! Will be back without a doubt...

Lovely staff in a beautifully spacious restaurant, I'm a vegan so often find it difficult to eat out, but my avocado and hummus flatbread was delightful ! thank you so much for a lovely lunch experience, I'll definitely be back again soon.....

Last night I attended a Hepple Gin Experience at Olives. What a great night! We had some fabulous gin cocktails whilst also learning all about how the gin is made. I love going to Olives. You are always made to feel so welcome. They do great food, great drinks and fantastic events in beautiful surroundings with great service. Thanks for a brilliant night. Looking forward to the next one!

Just attended the murder mystery night held at Olives tonight. We had a great night & the food was lovely. Catered for my dietary requirements well, all staff were friendly & helpful, which is always a bonus we will definitely be back.

I would highly recommend the afternoon tea if your looking for a little treat, all fresh & homemade... Beautifully presented too! There was 9 of us, so quite a big group and the staff couldn’t have done enough for us. They even catered for my food allergies without any issues whatsoever, which was a relief as I always worry... Overall excellent afternoon tea which was enjoyed by all. Thank you again x

I run a networking event every month at Olives and every month they are so accommodating, friendly and generally lovely :) All of the staff are smiley and nothing is ever a problem. The service is fantastic, the venue is beautiful - In love how quirky and interesting it is, I remember when I first walked in I was amazed! and the food and drinks are always perfect. I can't leave without taking a cheese scone with me! It's great not just for networking, but for meetings, meet ups with friends and for children too! It's my go-to place in Whitley Bay. Go!

I popped in yesterday for lunch with my young son and my mother in law. Unfortunately my son took ill and created quite a mess. The waitress was absolutely brilliant got us everything we needed and even helped to clean up. Can’t thank her enough for making me feel comfortable and that it wasn’t a problem.

The food was yummy too we will be back with no incidents next time hopefully �

Hired this out for my daughters naming ceremony and it was fantastic. The staff were amazing and everyone commented on how much of a lovely quirky venue it was. The food was spot on and they had a brilliant selection of gin. couldn't ask for better. Thanks again for all the help on my daughters big day, you guys are the best �

Had an afternoon treat courtesy of my daughter for Mother’s Day. We forgot to pre book but they very kindly accommodated us anyway. On top of that they also made the sandwiches mayo free for me �. Lovely choice of food with plenty coffee/ tea. A lovely afternoon tea in a lovely, quirky place.

Cannot recommend this lovely cafe enough! Had Mother's Day afternoon tea with my Mam, sister and mother in law and it was fantastic! Delicious food, excellent friendly staff and plenty to drink! Will definitely be going back!

Attended the Hepple gin event last night with some friends. Lovely gin cocktail on arrival, an informative talk from the local gin maker which included some tasters from different stages of the process and finished off with a Hepple gin and tonic and some delicious canapés. Love this venue, really pleasant evening, refreshing to do something different on a night out. Looking forward to seeing what’s coming up next!

I booked Olives to celebrate our Ruby Wedding Anniversary and can honestly say the Staff, food and value for money were great. My guests were very impressed with the venue and praised the fact it was at the Metro Link in Whitley Bay and didn't have the problem of parking or worrying about enjoying a few drinks. We entertained well over 70 friends and family and many also commented on the lovely buffet we had. Thank you Julie and all your staff who worked so hard to ensure our day went without problems. You certainly achieved many new customers that day as friends have been back to try out your amazing food.
