we came here and it was brilliant staff were great there was a bar man called dan he was romanian and he made us cocktails they were amazing my boy friend wouldnt leave he loved them that much dan i think his name was brilliant really freindly and made us very welcome wish other bars had such goodstaff highly recommended loved every minuite of our holiday and deffinatly going back to olympia onour next holiday

We’ve had our second annual Christmas party at Olympia Bowling. The people we support have learning disabilities and this year there was 21 in the party, plus support staff. The event is always made excellent due to the Olympia Bowling staff team, who make everyone feel so welcome. The friendly, tentative and helpful approach from all the staff to ensure that everyone is having the best time is amazing. We look forward to next years event. Thank you

...and unfortunately my daughter had n accident and split her chin....I would just like to thank and praise the male staff (that were working on the bowling part)for there help and service and also the male first aid man that came over straight away to help....very friendly and helpful in a situation that I felt stressed.... Big thank you and we will be calling again soon to finish off our bowling game xx

Went bowling last night... absolutely fab refurb!! Good offers and deals at the bar... all staff very friendly (especially Dan) good banter and a fab time!! Will be back!!

We had a recent last minute trip to scarborough and as the kids love arcades we went to a few on the first day.This was by far the best and we returned here the following 2 days. On our last day we had a quick play before leaving and i left my purse! Hours later when already 2 hours into our journey home i realised, so i found the number and phoned up and spoke to the most amazing person/employee of yours. Not only did he find my purse, he posted it back to me on recorded delivery paying the costs himself and phoning me once he posted it. His name is Keith Philpott and it takes a very rare person to so such kindness honesty and thoughtfulness. As a business you should be very proud to have such an employee. Big five stars for this place.

Visit here every time we're in Scarborough and always great service. Yesterday our son was busting some breakdancing loves whilst waiting his turn. One of the staff gave him an impromptu demo and dance off which he loved! Lovely people and made his day 👍

The staff are great my mother inlaw had a fall and the staff did every thing they could even staying with us till the ambulance came and even stayed in touch to see how she was after

Staff great..cafe food was beautiful. .bread so soft and salad so fresh..went bowling for my daughters 10th birthday as it's out first year living in Scarborough and they even brought her a badge out wih our food..nothing too much trouble. .even cut the cake on the balcony with sea views. ..candy floss machine great ;kids loved it and the games the best in Scarborough. .cheers for making it that xtra special guys..x

My partner and I had a few drinks on the terrace and we loved it! Best tasting mojito i've had in ages, service from Dan was faultless and the price was great! Would recommend to couples and groups of friends looking for cheap, good quality drinks and friendly staff �

Lovely day monday bowling with family � had a great time

I came in with my daughter Thursday evening and we had a brilliant time. The floor staff were brilliant too. Antony I think his name was he was so helpful he defiantly put himself out of his way to help us it was and nothing was to much effort for him :) such a lovely visit we will definitely be back.

Have just had a great work related Christmas Party at Olympia Leisure Bowling. Adam the Manager and Julie in catering were absolutely brilliant and even Santa made a surprise visit..will definitely be doing this again next year, if not before. Had a fantastic time at Kylan Fennels 9th birthday party Saturday afternoon! Food was excellent, would recommend it, good value for money!

Had a couple of burgers whilst we bowled, honestly didn’t expect much. Very pleasantly surprised. Cooked fresh and well presented even though it was very busy.

By far the best arcade in Scarborough really child friendly loads for them to do 100%best security/staff my nephew wondered off and was found within seconds defiantly recommed to anyone whos going.

After having to walk out of Winking Willys chip shop without eating because the staff member was discussing how ill shed been we were in a panic of where to take our children to eat. We remembered there is a bowling alley in the arcade so thought head there as burger and chips would be suffice. We were expecting an expensive burger meal but were pleasantly surprised when we ordered 2 adult burger meals and 2 children's meals (who eat free with an adult meal) for less than £16 including drinks!



We were expecting a greasy meal but were so hungry we didn't care. Again to our astonishment we received 2 beautiful burgers with no grease! They were so tasty! We found out the meat comes from a proper butcher and isn't the normal frozen patties you'd expect!



Our children enjoyed a chicken nugget meal which came presented in a lovely box! Again they were very tasty and the children loved them!



The staff were all very polite, helpful and clean! They looked lovely in their pristine uniforms! I will definitely go here on our next visit!

Absolutely love this place won lots of prizes from there 2p machines. Staff are very helpful. Really can't wait to return early next year

Absolutely brilliant night. Went for a Christmas party food was really nice the manager was superb. We all had a great night.

Visited Sun 19th Nov around 6pm. As always the cafe staff were lovely and accommodating. Meal was lovely. The 2 blokes in Bowling were also really nice. Unfortunately we then had the pleasure of being in the company of the 2 members of staff in the prize room on the first floor. Every time we needed a toy from the 2p machine we had to wait until they had finished their constant chatting before we could ask. They rolled their eyes and made you feel like a real pain. Then we went downstairs and with the exception of a young lad who was really nice the others were just intent on filling 2p and 10p machines not helping the customers who ultimately pay their wages. Again we were made to feel like a real burden to them. We spend a fortune in that arcade every time we go some of that clearly needs investing in Customer Service training. I hope the management see this review and act upon it otherwise they will lose business no doubt about that whatsoever.

I went this year in March just to have a cup of tea in the upstairs cafe, and noticed there's less seats in there now. The lady who served me was polite. The arcade part looked good. Every arcade now a days just seems to be nearly all 2p penny pushers and fruit machines, with still a few other kinds of machines like shooting and racing games.

Helpful staff when prizes kept getting stuck in the machines. The bowling was great with a choice of lanes to choose from. The kids loved picking prizes with the tickets they had collected at the prize shop upstairs. The only let down was the cafe as when ordering off the menu there was a limited choice to what they could cook but the food was very tasty. 9/10

Unfortunately we booked when then had a children's party. Don't mind the kids enjoying themselves but not running around where we were playing, asked to move lanes but staff said not available but there where!!!!

When the kids had gone the players on the next lane kept taking the balls we had picked out!!!!

So didn't enjoy the evening this time, maybe try again.

10/10 for the facelift on the bar and bowling area but you really need to sort the toilets out. There’s never any soap or hot water in there. Food from the cafe was good as well, jus the loos letting you down

Went twice today. First time 10 pin bowling not working properly on most lanes. Second time was tonight because my son had seen a game he wanted to use. My 2 sons wanted to play the air hockey game but after I put £1 in the machine it didn't work. I asked the security guard that was passing us for help. He asked if I had actually put money in! He checked round the machine but couldn't see where the problem was. He said this happened earlier. He then sent for help. We waited for 5 minutes but no help. I went to find help. I asked a female member of staff and she looked like she was disgusted at me for asking her. She opened both ends of the machine and then the disc for the game dropped out and the game began to work. She held it up and said "it's there, it's been there all the time". Not going back here.

Make sure you have something warm to wear if going in winter. Went yesterday with a party of 20 people and most people kept costs on as the room temperature was so cold. Also - if booking a party make sure you do your calculations as it was cheaper to pay for 20 people rather than 18 due to the group booking offer and then some played twice.

Will never return!

Booked this place weeks ago for our Christmas staff party. Get there on time to be told that they can not do it for us.. they kept giving different reasons as to why but not of the were plausible or believable.. we had 8 people who turned up expecting food and a game of bowling and they turned us all away and didn't even offer an alternative solution like any other well run business would have done in this situation, instead they chose to let over £200 business walk out of the door. No wonder the place was dead on a Saturday night and run down..

If you are with some one with sensory needs avoid the bowling area cant even escape it out on the balcony we was part of a large group with children of various disabilities and needs all lanes was booked by the group yet would not turn music down we found staff very rude from time they opened door at 10 wont return

I went to the centre and got told that they starting to close at 8pm, by a manager in the arcade centre. I was under the impression they were just letting me know so that I have time to finish getting the prize I was playing for coz a guy in the bowling upstairs said they would probably be closing at 8:30pm coz it was a little quite even tho the Web site states 11pm closing time!! I was playing and the prize was on the very edge of the machine and the manager came up to me again rudely saying I told you we were starting to close up and that they only waiting for me this was at 8:15pm I had 4 staff members standing behind me breathing down my neck making me feel unbelievably uncomfortable the manager then said horribly that she can't wait any longer for me to leave and leaned over me and got the prize out the machine even tho it would have probable only taken 2 more coins to drop and not to mention her acting nasty like this in front of my to small children I then tried to explain why I thought it was only closing at 8:30pm and then she said that I must not argue with her and that she decides what time they close. They also threatened to just switch everything off to my husband so that we can finish!!!! I had been there 3 nights spending a lot of money for prizes and for over 3000 tickets that are not even worth the money just so we can have some fun on our first family holiday and because of woman that can't even smile once in the time I've been there nor did I feel like I can ask any of them for help when the prizes got stuck because they can't be friendly at all they just nod at you in dissatifaction and follow you to the machine thats you having issues with NO MANNERS OR THE SLIGHTEST BIT OF RESPECT for their customers just because it's not their high season!!!!! but I must say their was one lady and the bowling centre staff that were polite and still joked around with us a little can't say very much for the rest tho

Hardly any machines actually worked, it seemed like I was chasing staff members every few minutes because the machines had stopped working and just swallowed our money. A few didn't pay out the tickets we won and we was told we probably didn't win any and that's why it didn't pay out! I know the difference between winning 0 and hitting a jackpot on a game where apparently"everyone is a winner" On the most part, ridiculously unhelpful staff. I tried my luck on the claw machines to try win a teddy for my 2 year old and the claw didn't even close, so no chance at all of winning. I mentioned it to a member of staff and all I got was a shrug!

Oh and a big shout out the the bloke who came to sort one of the broken machines who tried to walk off without doing anything and when asked about the money we'd put in, threw a 50p at us and said 'here you're rich again!'

Does anyone ever answer the phone at this place?? Tried to book a party in June for my daughters birthday, rang for days on end and noone ever answered the phone. Went elsewhere. Have been trying to book an alley for bowling for a couple of days now, noone has answered the phone! obviously do not want customers!!!

David Alexander well i wouldnt recomend anyone to take their kids after today, i have just got home after been at scarborogh for the evening with the family, we go every two weeks and spend a lot of money on them ticket machines and very rarely win large amounts of ticket but today my son played on one of the party time machines and had a few good wins then got on the feature board and had quite a few jacpot wins with a repeat on the feature wheel again giving jackpotsgiving 300 tikets for each jackpot he had a large pile of tickets piled up next to the machine with it still paying out tickets i was playing the machine next to him winning nothing so seeing him win thousans of tickets i moved to the 2p pusher machines when i saw a member of staff go up to him and confiscate his tickets saying the machine had malfunctioned he shouted over to me saying what had happened while i had a stck of 2ps in my tray and a tub of 2ps with a pile of tickets hanging out of my machine but i just left them expecting him to go and collect them for me while i went after the thief. i explained to her that i had seen him lagitametly win them tickets she had stolen of him and asked for them to be returned to him, but she refused when i think it was the manager who joind her and i again told him what had happened but sh simply told him that she had checked the machine and it had malfunctioned when infact she DID NOT CHECK THE MACHINE she simply stole the tickets the manager backed her up saying it is very unlikely a machine would pay out like that but i know for fact that the party time machines do often pay out lare amount i was getting niwear with the manager either and when i turned around i was surrounded by what must have been every member of staff in the building and felt threatened but as a crowed had gathered i stood my ground and continued arguing my point those tickets was a lagitimate win and should be returned in the end he agreed for me to swop the tickets i had in my hand for the stolen ones and to top it of when i realised i had left my money and tickets at the machine i was playing on i returned to find nothing. we have been ripped of by olimpia leisure and i do intend to follow this up with a complaint to the head office when i find the address. the thief did not in any way check that machine for any kind of malfunction as she told her manager she simply stole the tickets and it was left turned on and in play so if it had malfunctioned why was it not turned off to stop people playing it. as if the odds wernt already stacked in their favour they also steal tickets customers have legitametly won

Booked a staff party based on last year's experience. was an absolutely brilliant night so chose this year to do the same again. Booked on 9th Nov for first weekend in December, rang to confirm numbers 2 days before. All turned up ready for the same experience as last year to be told nothing was done and they needed 10 to book minimum. (8 of us) no mention on the 3 phone calls made previously or a phone call back to say a mistake. not even an apology or an offer of bowling cheaper and just all pay for some food ourselves. shame really after such a good year last year.

I had been there 3 nights spending a lot of money for prizes and for over 3000 tickets that are not even worth the money just so we can have some fun on our first family holiday and because of woman that can't even smile once in the time I've been there nor did I feel like I can ask any of them for help when the prizes got stuck because they can't be friendly at all they just nod at you in dissatifaction and follow you to the machine thats you having issues with NO MANNERS OR THE SLIGHTEST BIT OF RESPECT for their customers just because it's not their high season!!!!! but I must say their was one lady and the bowling centre staff that were polite and still joked around with us a little can't say very much for the rest tho

Hardly any machines actually worked, it seemed like I was chasing staff members every few minutes because the machines had stopped working and just swallowed our money. A few didn't pay out the tickets we won and we was told we probably didn't win any and that's why it didn't pay out! I know the difference between winning 0 and hitting a jackpot on a game where apparently"everyone is a winner" On the most part, ridiculously unhelpful staff. I tried my luck on the claw machines to try win a teddy for my 2 year old and the claw didn't even close, so no chance at all of winning. I mentioned it to a member of staff and all I got was a shrug!

Oh and a big shout out the the bloke who came to sort one of the broken machines who tried to walk off without doing anything and when asked about the money we'd put in, threw a 50p at us and said 'here you're rich again!'

Does anyone ever answer the phone at this place?? Tried to book a party in June for my daughters birthday, rang for days on end and noone ever answered the phone. Went elsewhere. Have been trying to book an alley for bowling for a couple of days now, noone has answered the phone! obviously do not want customers!!!

David Alexander well i wouldnt recomend anyone to take their kids after today, i have just got home after been at scarborogh for the evening with the family, we go every two weeks and spend a lot of money on them ticket machines and very rarely win large amounts of ticket but today my son played on one of the party time machines and had a few good wins then got on the feature board and had quite a few jacpot wins with a repeat on the feature wheel again giving jackpotsgiving 300 tikets for each jackpot he had a large pile of tickets piled up next to the machine with it still paying out tickets i was playing the machine next to him winning nothing so seeing him win thousans of tickets i moved to the 2p pusher machines when i saw a member of staff go up to him and confiscate his tickets saying the machine had malfunctioned he shouted over to me saying what had happened while i had a stck of 2ps in my tray and a tub of 2ps with a pile of tickets hanging out of my machine but i just left them expecting him to go and collect them for me while i went after the thief. i explained to her that i had seen him lagitametly win them tickets she had stolen of him and asked for them to be returned to him, but she refused when i think it was the manager who joind her and i again told him what had happened but sh simply told him that she had checked the machine and it had malfunctioned when infact she DID NOT CHECK THE MACHINE she simply stole the tickets the manager backed her up saying it is very unlikely a machine would pay out like that but i know for fact that the party time machines do often pay out lare amount i was getting niwear with the manager either and when i turned around i was surrounded by what must have been every member of staff in the building and felt threatened but as a crowed had gathered i stood my ground and continued arguing my point those tickets was a lagitimate win and should be returned in the end he agreed for me to swop the tickets i had in my hand for the stolen ones and to top it of when i realised i had left my money and tickets at the machine i was playing on i returned to find nothing. we have been ripped of by olimpia leisure and i do intend to follow this up with a complaint to the head office when i find the address. the thief did not in any way check that machine for any kind of malfunction as she told her manager she simply stole the tickets and it was left turned on and in play so if it had malfunctioned why was it not turned off to stop people playing it. as if the odds wernt already stacked in their favour they also steal tickets customers have legitametly won

Booked a staff party based on last year's experience. was an absolutely brilliant night so chose this year to do the same again. Booked on 9th Nov for first weekend in December, rang to confirm numbers 2 days before. All turned up ready for the same experience as last year to be told nothing was done and they needed 10 to book minimum. (8 of us) no mention on the 3 phone calls made previously or a phone call back to say a mistake. not even an apology or an offer of bowling cheaper and just all pay for some food ourselves. shame really after such a good year last year.

Booked a staff night out for bowling and food... all of us turned up and got told they were not prepared for us!! Do not go here the management are incapable of holding a conversation never mind running a Buisness.. absolute joke and ruined my staff night.
