RHEMA FOR LIVING OFM, DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE FROM THE DESK OF GOD'S SERVANT REV (DR) LIZZY JOHNSON SULEMAN.
SATURDAY, 22ND FEBRUARY 2020.
BIBLE READING: PSALM 127-132.
... TOPIC: THE MAN IN THE STORM (PART 2).
TEXT: "Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord." 1 Corinthians 15:58.
The Man in the storm is the major determining factor of the outcome of the storm. God has ordained victory for His children in every circumstance of life and whenever we align ourselves to His principles in any circumstance, we activate the victory He wrought for us in Christ Jesus. The Bible says, "Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place" (2 Corinthians 2:14).
The knowledge of Christ which is the Word of God (John 1:1, Revelation 19:13) is very crucial to enjoy victory over the storm. God cannot do anything outside His Word and where the Word of God is, there is power. When the man in the storm is full of God's word, his victory is quickened (John 10:35, Psalm 82:6); he becomes a god over the storm (Exodus 7:1). Such a man is full of faith (Roman 10:17); he is peaceful and not intimidated or troubled by the storm, but rather his thoughts, words and actions are from a mindset of dominion over the storm (John 8:32). The Word of God begins to grow until it prevails over the storm as in Acts 19:20, "So mightily grew the word of God and prevailed".
Child of God, in whatever storm of love life you have found yourself, God is with you to the extent of His word in you. The Word of God in you determines His power that works in you and for you (Ephesians 3:20). The Spirit of God lifts up standard against every flood of the enemy through the Word (Isaiah 59:19), so get into the Word.
PRAYER: My Father, My Father, as I begin to pray, I receive fresh passion for your Word.

RHEMA FOR LIVING OFM, DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE FROM THE DESK OF GOD'S SERVANT (REV) DR LIZZY JOHNSON SULEMAN.
FRIDAY, 21ST FEBRUARY 2020.
BIBLE READING: PSALM 120-126.
... TOPIC: THE MAN IN THE STORM.
TEXT: "Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord." 1 Corinthians 15:58.
There storms of life are part of the Christian race. At one point or the other, believers are faced with storms of different forms; some marital, some in relationships, some in their health, some in their academics etc. But the problem which calls for concern is not the storm or its enormousity, but the man in the storm. Who you are determines if the storm would consume you or if you would walk through it victoriously, giving glory of God. A man who lacks integrity will always sell out in the midst of the storm. Such a man would compromise his faith because he is not steadfast in that which he claims to believe. But this is not so for a man of integrity; he has a firm character that remains constant in every circumstance. Therefore, to prevail over the storms of life, you must be steadfast and unmovable in the faith, standing your ground despite the threats of the storm. When you stand firmly, God would show Himself strong on your behalf. Such were the situations of Daniel in the lion's den and the three Hebrew boys-Shedrach, Meshach and Abednego in the midst of the fire. They stood their ground against the unrighteous decrees, despite the obvious threats to their lives and God Almighty became the fourth man in the midst of the fire and shut the mouth of the lions to preserve them. Hallelujah! What a victory!
PRAYER: My Father, My Father, as I begin to pray, help me Lord, to be steadfast and unmovable in your word.

RHEMA FOR LIVING OFM, DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE FROM THE DESK OF GOD'S ORACLE APOSTLE JOHNSON SULEMAN.
THURSDAY, 20TH FEBRUARY 2020.
BIBLE READING: PSALM 119.
... TOPIC: YOUR TURN IS CERTAIN (PART 4).
TEXT: "For they got not the land in possession by their own sword, neither did their own arm save them: but thy right hand, and thine arm, and the light of thy countenance, because thou hadst a favour unto them." Psalms 44:3.
For it to get to your turn in destiny, you must connect yourself to favour. The Bible says that Esther obtained favour (Esther 2:15&17). Prosperity is not a product of labour; it is a product of favour. One day of favour is stronger than a hundred years of labour. If you like to sweat, you may sweat to death, but if you prefer favour, then you will enjoy sweetness. Quit thinking that your efforts can get you there. It takes favour to be satisfied and be full of the blessings of the Lord so let your expectations be high and do not settle for anything less than God's best. With all that was against Esther, she could have settled for any man other than the King like some believers. But she chose to rely on God, the custodian of favour and went in for the competition and God who grants the desires of one's heart, granted her heart desires and she became the queen. You have laboured this long, moving in circles instead of soaring because you have depended on labour. Favour causes you to stand out, it breaks protocol and gives you access where others are denied. Favour is divine partiality which singles a man out from others for help. The Bible says, "Lord by thy favour, thou hast made my mountain to stand strong" (Psalms 30:7). I see you distinguished by favour, in Jesus Name.
PRAYER: My Father, My Father, as I pray now, I connect to divine favour by fire.

OFM RHEMA FOR LIVING DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE FROM THE DESK OF THE RESTORATION APOSTLE, PROF. JOHNSON SULEMAN FOR TUESDAY, 18TH FEBRUARY 2020.
BIBLE READING: PSALM 109 - 113.
TOPIC: YOUR TURN IS CERTAIN (PART 2).
... TEXT: "Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert." Isaiah 43:18 - 19.
Child of God, not everyone whom God has ordained to reign would actually reign. Why? This is because some people allow the failures of the past to keep them bound to the past.
That is why for you to actualize your turn in reality, you must put your failures behind you just like Esther did. Esther knew that her past failure was not an excuse for her future success. In Esther 2:7, the Bible revealed that she was an orphan, who was among those captured from Israel to Babylon; who was among those she did not allow that to stop her from pressing forward with the other maidens to be the queen.
If you want your turn to materialise, you must know that your past failures are not a hindrance to your future success. You are not a failure because you failed, you are only a failure when you choose to die a failure. As long as you are alive, you still have a turn to change the narrative. Your future is pregnant with success. The only thing you cannot change are the happenings of yesterday but you can determine how they affect your present and your future.
PRAYER: My Father X2, as I begin to pray now, I bury the limitations of my past, I refuse them to delay my turn, Amen.

RHEMA FOR LIVING OFM, DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE FROM THE DESK OF GOD'S ORACLE APOSTLE JOHNSON SULEMAN.
MONDAY, 17TH FEBRUARY 2020.
BIBLE READING: PSALM 106-108.
... TOPIC: YOUR TURN IS CERTAIN.
TEXT: "Now when the turn of Esther, the daughter of Abigail the uncle of Mordecai, who had taken her for his daughter, was come to go in unto the king, she required nothing but what Hegai the King's chambalain, the keeper of the women, appointed. And Esther obtained favour in the sight of all them that looked upon her." Esther 2:15.
The first portion of our anchor text says, "Now when THE TURN of Esther..." meaning, her turn and her time were certain. God has sent me to tell you today, that no matter who has had a miracle before, now it's your turn! God is a God of turns and seasons. Let it be known to you that after somebody, there is always somebody else. After the death of Moses, God raised Joshua. And after the death of Joshua, God raised up Judah. God has told me to tell you that your turn to reign in your marriage, in your job, in your finances and in every area of your life has come. It is your turn to reign! Sometimes, before it gets to your turn, someone has to go down. Let me tell you this mystery. Before it was Esther's turn, the Bible says Queen Vashti (the former queen) was called to dance and she refused. She made a costly mistake. She said to her husband, "I have been dancing for you for years but today, I won't dance". She must have thought it was solely her decision not to dance, but she failed to realize that God was giving her position and crown to another. She had to make a mistake for Esther to get a miracle. I pray for you, your enemies will make a mistake for your promotion.
PRAYER: My Father, My Father, as I begin to pray, I fast forward my turn by fire.

RHEMA FOR LIVING OFM, DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE FROM THE DESK GOD'S ORACLE APOSTLE JOHNSON SULEMAN.
SUNDAY, 16TH FEBRUARY 2020.
BIBLE READING: PSALMS 103-105.
... TOPIC: GOD IS WAITING FOR YOU.
TEXT: "And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him." Luke 15:20.
All the struggles of your life is not God's problem, it is your problem; God is waiting for you. All He is waiting for is for you to take one step in the right direction and He will take two steps. The Bible says, Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded" (James 4:8). Human action sponsors divine reaction. The problem you have is that you have concluded on yourself. All God wants is for you to take a step. From the story of the prodigal son, you will discover that as soon as the son made up his mind to return home and came, the father saw him while he was yet afar off. This means that the father had been expecting him. To see someone from afar before he arrives shows expectation and it was his father who ran out to welcome him. In the same vein, God is waiting for you. Do not give up on yourself. You have a divine identity which can only be discovered in God. No matter the mistakes you have made in the past, do not let it tie you down; arise and return to the Almighty and you will be built up (Job 22:23).
PRAYER: My Father, My Father, as I begin to pray, in any way I have stayed away from you, I make a total turnaround back to you.

SATURDAY, 15TH FEBRUARY 2020.
BIBLE READING: Psalms 100-102.
... TOPIC: TRAIN UP YOUR CHILD (PART 3).
TEXT: "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6.
One important aspect of bringing up a child is ensuring that you teach them social skills. Every child needs to learn to behave politely. There is a right and a wrong way to behave in all circumstances. There is a right way to eat, a right way to talk and a right to dress. There are also such things as cell phone etiquettes, dining table etiquettes, dating etiquettes, formal etiquettes and so on. One must take into consideration the fact that cultures differ, thus, what is considered good manners in one culture may seem to be rude in another, for instance, it may be okay in one culture to greet by shaking hands, regardless of the age difference, while in another culture, a younger person extending hidden hand to an elder as a form of greeting may be seen as an act of rudeness. As light bearers, we must teach our children the kingdom culture of coming under the elderly in age and spiritual authority to attract the flow of blessing. "And Joseph brought them out from between his knees, and he bowed himself with his face to the earth. And Joseph took them both, Ephraim in his right hand toward Israel's left hand, and Manasseh in his left hand towards Israel's right hand, and brought them near unto him" (Genesis 48:12-13). It is expected that children should be taught to respond to all adults including parents, with "yes sir" or yes ma" and to pay attention when being addressed. When brought up with such courtesy, children become cultured and well-mannered. Do not ignore these social skills owing to the fact that they are young because children are fast learners. May God grant you understanding, in Jesus Name.
PRAYER: My Father, My Father, as I begin to pray, I receive more grace to fulfil my responsibility as a parent.

FRIDAY, 14TH FEBRUARY 2020.
BIBLE READING: AMOS 7-9.
... TOPIC: TRAIN UP YOUR CHILD (PART 2).
TEXT: "Train up a child the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it." Proverbs 22:6.
Something God requires from parents and guardians is for them to channel the course of the younger generation from childhood through the path of life as civil and responsible citizens who are the light and salt of the earth. A very common mistake being made by adults is in the manner they take phone calls. You would normally get a rather brash "yes, who is this?" Instead of a polite "Hello, good morning. Please may I know who lam speaking with and how may I help you?" No one is born with the knowledge of respect and social skills. We learn them from those around us, particularly our parents and family members. And we first learn respect for others before we can learn to respect ourselves. Parents therefore, have a duty to bring up their children the best way they can and to equip them for what the future holds in store for them. You may want to ask "But what happens when one is blessed with loving and kind but socially-ignorant parents?" Well, the child probably will not be aware of this until much later in his/her teens when they begin to interact more with others. But if this is the situation the children have to face, then they have no choice other than to educate themselves as much as they can. I pray for you, your place in the life of your children would not be taken when you are present.
PRAYER: My Father, My Father, as I begin to pray, I receive grace to fulfil my responsibility as a parent.

RHEMA FOR LIVING OFM, DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE FROM THE DESK OF GOD'S SERVANT REV (DR) LIZZY JOHNSON SULEMAN.
THURSDAY, 13TH FEBRUARY 2020.
BIBLE READING: AMOS 4-6.
... TOPIC: TRAIN UP YOUR CHILD.
TEXT: "Train up your child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it." (Proverbs 22:6).
Every parent is commissioned by God to train up their children in the ways of the Lord, which invariably fulfills God's purpose of replenishing the earth. Children have malleable minds because of their tender age and can be moulded in the right direction. A godly child who has the right teachings imparted to him forms impressions which shapen his thoughts, words and actions, alongside his sensory observations. This is why at this age, parent are admonished to invest quality time in bringing up their children. Refuse to be a parent who only invests money in child-carers and child-minders, who more often than not, spend the most time with the children. Money cannot substitute for your physical love, care, attention and instructions. When you spend quality time with your children, you can directly observe and be the part of their development, having the opportunity to instruct and propel along the path of life. The Bible say, "A wise son maketh a glad father: but a foolish man despiseth his mother" (Proverbs 15:20). "....And he that begetteth a wise child shall have joy of him" (Proverbs 23:24). I pray for you today that you will not weep over your children, in Jesus Name.
PRAYER: My Father, My Father, as I pray now, I receive grace to train up my children in the way they should go.
