Here comes the rain again! Glad they've fixed the leaks in the roof now - I don't need to wear my wellies in the office any more. LVME is back on line after its annual - lovely new windscreen, no excuses for poor look out now! Cedric the Elder has been away for a couple of days completing his Examiners course - anyone need a Skill Test or Renewal?? I think it means he will have to add a black belt to his straw hat now!
Too windy today for flying - still better the wind is outside than inside - eh! Where's my curry? Don't forget you can buy your Omega Flight Training Baseball cap and Tee shirt as a present to yourself for Christmas from the office at Shoreham. And when you come in you can treat yourself to a supreme quality cup of coffee from the new Nespresso machine - only 60p.
Today our lovely Airport is being turned into a film set again! Tom Hanks and Helen Mirren have blessed us with their presence before - who will we get tomorrow? Spectator tickets viewing from my office going cheap - autographs a little dearer! Hope their planning a storm scene though.
Wet day at the office today! But one who wandered in for a coffee brought up a name blast from the past - Shaun McConnell. Now a captain with Flybe - Shaun trained and flew here as an instructor many moons ago. Don't forget to drop in in some day in your Q400 Shaun - they used to land the old Dash 7's here years ago. Or was it the Dash 8? Happy Days!

What a difference a year can make!!! Well done to everyone who has put in all the hard work over the last year. Can not believe it was a year ago today that Omega Flight Training had it's first day trading. What a way to celebrate! Lovely weather! Steve Newham passing his FI test a couple of days ago and taken the brand new Tecnam up for some fun. Who new such a lovely aircraft could be at our finger tips for many more fun flights to come. New recruit - Monty, CFI, Tecnam??
The Tecnam has arrived! Martyn and Owen had a long trip back from Naples, braving thunderstorms and winds en route, but eventually landed at Shoreham at 8.51 this morning! Will hopefully be ready for flying in a couple of weeks. Well done chaps - chocks away!!!!!

Congratulations to Matt Hunt, Omega Flight Training's first official CPL student to pass with flying colours. Well done Matt.
Martyn and Ben are off to Italy today and tomorrow to look at new Technam aircraft as a possible replacement for the C152's. Whichever make we decide to go with we will be moving towards a glass cockpit design for the future aircraft. Watch this space...
We are pleased to announce that Omega Flight Training is one of the first Flying Schools in the country to obtain the full EASA regulation approval for its courses, which we got from the CAA in February. Congratulations to everyone who have put in a lot of work behind the scenes to get these approvals.
