OPENING TONIGHT: Mao and His Portrayal in Chinese Contemporary Art -

Omer Tiroche Gallery is proud to present Gilded Shadows, a solo exhibition by Ofek Eliya curated by Mor Reshef Sivan. This exhibition captures the raw vulnerability that characterises Eliya’s works; works that reflect an almost meditative intent to overcome internal struggle. On a quest for self-discovery and self-mastery, Eliya is inspired by Baroque and Renaissance sacred art; what he wishes to sacralise however are not religious icons, but rather the dark side of the human... condition.
גלריה עומר תירוש גאה להציג את צללים מוזהבים, תערוכת היחיד של האמן אופק אליה. בתערוכה, באוצרותה של מור רשף סיון, מוצגות עבודותיו של אופק בכנות המאפיינת אותו במיוחד; יצירה המשקפת התמודדות והסתגלות לצד קבלה והסכמה. עבודותיו משקפות תהליך של הכרה עצמית, חשיפה והעמדת מראה לצופה אל מול "הצל" שבו – החלקים האינטימיים שהצופים מתקשים לקבל בעצמם ולפיכך מדחיקים אותם. אופק, בהשראת האמנות הקדושה של תקופת הרנסנס והבארוק, מציג קבל עם ועדה את הצד האפל שבמצב האנושי וכשמה של התערוכה עצמה דווקא את אותו צד חבוי הוא מכתיר בזהב.

Last Chance to see Ex-Nihilo, a solo exhibition by Idit Nissenbaum curated by Mor Reshef Sivan. Ex-Nihilo, Latin for “out of nothing”, is often used in connection with the concept of creation and can be found in religious texts referring to the beginning of life; first there was nothing and from nothing, the world was created. In this exhibition Nissenbaum brings the spiritual experience of the outdoors into the gallery space, appropriating elements of nature outside their no...rmal vernacular.
הזדמנות אחרונה לראות את יֵשׁ מֵאַיִן, תערוכת היחיד של האמנית עידית ניסנבאום. יֵשׁ מֵאַיִן הינו מונח המתאר התהוות מתוך היעדר; היכולת ליצור "דבר" מ"שום דבר". במסורת הקבלתית ייחוס זה מתקשר לבריאה ולבורא עצמו, תחילה היה כלום וממנו נברא העולם. בתערוכה, באוצרותה של מור רשף סיון, יוצרת האמנית טבע במקום שהוא אינו קיים. היא מדמה את התחושה הנפשית והחושית שמגיעה מהליכה בטבע תוך שימוש במדיומים שונים, טכנולוגיות שונות וחומרים מלאכותיים.
