About One25 Charity
One25 is a Bristol-based charity who help to enable women trapped in or vulnerable to street sex-work to break free and build new, independent lives.
One25 Charity Description
The 230 women One25 supports are among Bristol’s most vulnerable individuals. Most of the women we see on the streets are homeless, acutely malnourished and addicted to drugs or alcohol: because of this their safety and health is neglected. We see women who are deeply traumatized – from childhood abuse and then in the extreme violence of their adult lives on the streets.
They have enormous potential - in their resourcefulness, creativity, peer support and much more - and with our help can leave the streets for good and build positive new lives with their families and friends.

Huge thanks to Avon and Somerset Constabulary for awarding £1,000 to our outreach van from their Change Course funds. The Change Course is like a speed awareness course for kerb-crawling, giving men a chance to explore the damage their behaviour causes and the consequences for the women they solicit sex from, the community around the red light areas, and their own friends and family. Today One25's founder Val Jeal received an honorary degree from University of Bristol. Val - we are honoured to carry on the work that you began 23 years ago - thanks to you, hundreds of women in Bristol have felt loved and got support. Huge congratulations from us all!
