User

This is my son's regular "local" - he loves it and I can see why. Only my second visit but have to agree with him - Great atmosphere - friendly staff and the drink was pretty damn good too. Looking forward to my next visit

The most amazing pub I have ever been in London! Staff is so friendly, food is delicious, and what a place! Stunning. Great entertainment on Paddy's day, my friend from France were literally amazed!! So pleased it is also accessible for wheelchair users. Great great place

Save the church pub it's the best pub in north

London, friendly staff nice atmosphere good food all the sports on tv you could ever want to watch but not it's going it's criminal.

User

I think its good to change the name new owners new name people round enfield will still call it the george same old people in it so it really will be the same the meeting pub will always be southbury nothing changes

I love this unique place

But the beef roast dinner was A let down, unfortunatelty.

The pea's looked like they had died "twice".and the beef was so chewy.Roast potato's and parsnips, and Yorkshire pudding were fine.

Your staff were great, the place as always, has that chillaxing atmosphere.

Not one to complain, ,but you need to know the truth.Keep up the good work

Grew up in Muswell Hill and had many a good night in there before moving away about 15 years ago. Dropped in for a bit of lunch yesterday and the place is such an oasis of calm away from the busy Broadway and noisy traffic. Great food and service and a unique atmosphere. My Mum & Dad got married there in the late 1950s so a particular affinity for me.

User

From the look of it a vast improvement on the miserable grief hole that was The George. Good luck with the new pub from everyone in Enfield.

User

Definite improvement on The George, friendly staff, clean tables, clean toilets, great food , lovely time spent there yesterday evening 👍 x

Well what can I say we'd been so excited to go for St Patrick's day we made enquiries about bringing our boys 11 & 3 and we're told they were ok to be there until 7 o'clock we thought great we'd bring them after school to experience some irish music dancing etc being from Dublin wanted them to experience it on their own door step with the promise of Irish music/dancing face painting etc from 6. I thought at least they'd have an hour of it...wrong... we arrived just before 5 and the music was from a sound system..OK we thought they said 6 it's still early. Ordered dinner...hmmmm all was cold and the hubbies steak while very tasty was gristley but thought as the day was in it we'd let it slide as was more about the drinking to the majority of people. Tshirts and hats available which usually come from buying certain amounts of pints of Guinness not as an extra on top 5&3 pound each. All the while we were there we were never made to feel welcome but we're told by 6 or 7 staff members that children were allowed until 7pm. When did St Patrick's day become St Patrick's night because seeing posts from later on it all seemed to be going on after we left. Come on O'Neills your a big company who's selling themselves on being Irish but half the staff count even speak english (not that I have a problem with this) but you don't do enough to welcome people and families and make the most of the day that's in it not just satisfying the adults and drinkers

Inspiring location, good choice of beer but not so flawless when it comes to food. My rare/medium steak was actually black and stiff...

User

Very loud! TVs everywhere! Bar too small for size of the place. And we got moved from our seats to make room for the 'dance floor'! Not what I look for in a pub .... O'Neils is a pub, right?

User

Oh dear. No strongbow. No crisps and the food menu is more expensive. Loos are not smelly anymore but still like an icebox. No happy hour either. Not as family friendly. Nice decor.

Visited on Monday evening. There were groups of what appeared to be Irish gypsies eating Mcdonalds and burgers which had been been brought in. The bar service was poor and was only after the gypsies were served. The atmosphere felt intimidating and the staff seemed intimidated also. Certainly won't be going again and will 'warn off' all my friends.

I visited this pub today Sunday at 2.30 pm. I was met at the door by a member of staff, waitress and a girl customer out of her mind with drink/drugs. Both were screaming their heads off at each other. After a few minutes they moved inside to the middle of the bar and continued screaming with no regard for customers. There was obviosly no management on site as nobody intervened. Eventually after more than half an hour the police arrived and removed the culprit to a standing ovation from the customers. Also there was very poor service by just two staff behind the counter. There was no draught lager as they had run out of gas for a couple of days. This is advertised as an Irish pub but Irish people do not run their pubs like this and it is a disgrace. Very Very disappointed.

I had a really bad experience yesterday at o Neil's !! The staff was so rude and we had to speak to three different staff members to find our table ( that we booked a month before , calling twice to confirm). When we went to order food we got told that the kitchen was closed and we couldn't order food ! We had to speak to the manager and then she let us order it although when we called to book the table they told us that the kitchen would be open until 10pm. Nothing was as on the NYE program, there was not dj set and the live music was a single guy playing guitar and the music was so low that we couldn't hear anything. We wanted to surprise some friends that came over from Italy since we are regulars at O'Neils and we love it but we had to leave before midnight and wait for midnight at home! We didn't expect to receive a such bad treatment. I won't recommend this place during events and busy times to anyone.

I am just at the pub for the first time and although the atmosphere is great, the warm apple pie I have just ordered was an awful piece of raw dough mixed with apples. I would expect much more from an apple pie which has been so keenly offered to customers.

I have taken it back to the bar and complained abouth raw dough...and guess what I got back on the table 5min later - same pie with an extra portion of custard. This apple pie was my first food order in thos place and definitely the last one.
