Its almost that time of year again! Here at Open Door we are holding Flu jab walk in clinics In September & October for those who qualify for a free flu jab, for patient from both Open Door and Quayside Surgeries. It takes seconds, doesn't hurt, doesn't give you flu (contrary to popular belief) and can help you stay well this winter.

Our new banners have arrived today and are now on display in the surgery. These show all the services we can provide to our patients and both surgeries website addresses. As well as staring two of our most beautiful staff! 😍😍

Open Door and Quayside are pleased to announce we have created two drop in clinics for Blood Tests and Childrens Immunisations. The Phlebotomy clinic will run every Wednesday from 9am till 4.30pm and the Baby Immunisations clinic will run on Tuesday mornings from 9am - 12.30. Appointments are not required as this is a drop in service which will hopefully be more convenient for our patients.

Our group are starting to run a Child Health Group across all our surgeries. We will provide general information on basic health care for children, how to recognise some of the most common childhood illnesses and explain how best to prevent, treat and manage these. Dates, location and times on the poster. A Parent/Child Health support worker, a health care assistant and a nurse will be here to answer any of your questions! No question is a silly one. Hope to see you all there!!

As we continue to experience this lovely hot weather, please take care of yourself by ensuring that you increase fluids intake especially in the elderly and in children, and those who are unwell. Keep cool and do not exert yourself unnecessarily. Please ensure windows are open for ventilation but that curtains and blinds are closed to reduce heat exposure. If you have any concerns please don’t forget to call your local Single point of access on 256256.

The Consultation held in February 2018 has now concluded, Quayside will now be moving to the Open Door premises (Albion Street, Grimsby, North East Lincolnshire, DN32 7DL) with effect from Monday 16th July 2018.

Sands is charity which works to support people following the death of a baby. A new support group has been set up in the area 'Grimsby & Cleethorpes Sands' and their next meeting is on 6th June.
