This was a superb event! We'd love to see some of this incredible poetry and prose submitted to https://www.creativefuture.org.uk/spotlig ht-books/

The fabulous Nora Blascsok is now a published poet!
You'll find one of Nora's poems - well loved at Opening Lines nights - in this anthology published to raise funds for StreetLink, a charity helping rough sleepers.
It's only £4.99 - but just until Christmas. That's a few presents sorted...

We're off to this on Thursday to cheer that there Peter Strong along. Looks like it's just tickets on the door now.

Dear Opening Lines friends and family. We've a favour to ask. We're applying for a small grant at the end of the year so that we can invest in some new kit (a working mic anyone?) It would help us massively if you could leave us a recommendation.
If you've enjoyed your time at Opening Lines, either click on the stars on our page to recommend us, or just even sling a few words our way in the comments. TA!
... Hopefully see you on 12 Dec...
Love Jonna and Linsey ❤️🥳

Opening Lines were delighted to welcome back this month the rather too modest Peter Strong.
To hear more of his great poems and cheer him on, get down to Hammer & Tongue at Komedia on Thursday 6 December. It's the Brighton final.

Bit of a coup for Opening Lines last night - Terry Conway (first up, sorry Terry!) reading his story, 'How I Became a Closet Nutter', first published in the anthology 'Mad Pride: a celebration of Mad Culture.'
I've just order a replacement copy from Abe, my copy was 'borrowed' a few years ago. Here's a review taken from another book-seller site beginning with A, not to be named:
'Fantastic hit and miss collection of short stories. Most are good and funny. In particular the ...first and last one, both strange but true. However my all time fav is on p.37: How I Became a Closet Nutter. That guy should write an extended book length version that should then be made into a film, nudge, nudge, wink, wink!'
Well then, Terry?
