I am a fully qualified, professional therapist registered with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy. I can help you to kick-start a process of change.

Reaching out for help is hard to do. I will welcome you knowing that it takes courage to make contact.

I will invite you to share the experiences that bring you to therapy. These may be experiences that you hide from others, and from yourself. Through a process of exploration that can involve having a (gentle) dig around in your past and looking at your present with a new curiosity, we can uncover and face what has happened to you, and how you have managed and coped with your experiences.

This sharing of experience through a trusting and safe therapeutic relationship builds self-compassion, self-worth, and resilience.

My approach

I work from a humanistic-existential perspective to explore your unique way of being in the world. First and foremost, the givens of existence are acknowledged. This means that as human beings we are self-reflective beings aware of our impending deaths. The impact on us of this process of life towards death is immense.

It's also an approach that looks at how we impact our world (our family, community, society) and how our world impacts on us from birth. My own practice recognises the unique interplay of different aspects of our identities and how these affect us, such as gender, ethnicity, 'race', sexuality, age, class, disability, ability, culture, religion and class.
