About Oral Health Education

Oral Health Education courses specifically created to educate young students and adults about the value of good oral health

Oral Health Education Description

Oral Health Education was launched in 2013 and slowly growing in UK. Project founder, dental hygienist, Vaida Buksnaityte found that there is a lack of knowledge about oral health, oral care by treating and teaching her patients every day in the clinic.

"I believe if kids would be educated every year in their school about oral health and follow regular program, they would leave with full understanding how to look after their teeth, smile and general health" - Vaida Buksnaityte

Vaida created this program to educate kids in school regardless of the age group and believe to influence and create a big change for future generations.

Tooth decay has emerged as the “leading cause of child hospital admissions”, the Local Government Association (LGA) has revealed.
Every day, 160 children and teenagers in England have tooth extractions while under general anesthetic in hospital, according to the LGA.
The British Dental Association (BDA) has commented that these hospital admissions could be avoided as tooth decay is entirely preventable.
