Went here for Sunday dinner yesterday and after hearing so many good things about it we decided to give it a go ourselves,,,,, people are correct in the fact that they say the Sunday roasts are almost as good as a homemade one,,,,, we all tried a different one and everyone was more than satisfied with their choice,,,,, we also had a different starter too and again everyone was more than happy!!! I had no room for dessert although those that ordered one said it was also delicious,,,,, the staff were friendly and attentive so all in all a very good experience and will definitely be returning �

We love the Orange Tree... It has a lovely ambience and excellent food and the staff are always really nice.

We had afternoon tea here yesterday as a birthday treat from Mum. It was yummy and there’s was soooo much food. The place was packed but the staff were still really attentitive without being obtrusive. Tea and coffee was replenished in good time. The scones were immense! Sandwiches lush. Only negative was personal preference as I don’t like fruit cake, the ginger cake was good quality but I don’t like it and hen macaroons which I also don’t like so I was left with only chocolate cake but not complaining. Thy were also more larger cakes that had been sliced up rather than miniature cakes like I’ve had at other afternoon teas.



Would definitely recommend. Great value.

Visited the Orange Tree with my family on Sunday. I ordered the sirloin beef roast and It was amazing. It's rare to get a decent roast nowadays in a pub so was very surprised at the quality of the meal. The staff were very attentive and made my visit thoroughly enjoyable. I would recommend you all visit the Orange Tree, not just on a Sunday but any day of the week. You won't be disappointed.

Thank you x. Had a wonderful afternoon tea treat with Mums. Really good quality sandwiches, cakes and mini delicious scones jam and cream. Not often I can’t finish food but so much goodies on offer my eyes were bigger than my belly. Lovely old pub, cosy beer garden and very friendly staff. Will be back as the other food on offer looked fantastic too.

My self and my daughter had a meal at Orange Tree yesterday 26-4-18. It was delicious i might add i have been quite often.. The staff are very friendly and make sure everything is ok. Such a large menu i like that.More important a good price ...Very clean as well....Well done to all i shall be coming again very soon because your food is sooo yummy.xx

Just returned home from a Mother’s Day there with my mum along with the fact it was her birthday as well. The food was delicious and I would highly recommend this to anyone, we have been there a few time for dinner and have never had a bad meal I just need to go there for their lunchtime menu now, thanks very much to the staff for making us feel so welcome

Had to write after an amazing meal this evening. We were there for "date night" and the restaurant didn't disappoint - lovely cosy candle lit table, steaks were perfectly cooked, and we sat in the lovely fancy new garden bit after our meal. It actually felt quite magical with the twinkly lights, while we had a coffee (and the cheeseboard!) listening to the owls hooting. Would recommend it - and the staff were attentive and friendly. Will definitely be back.

First visit yesterday for a long time. Went for lunch with my friend, very nice indeed. So went back for Sunday lunch, excellent food and the service was great very quick and friendly staff. Will make The Orange Tree my new favourite. Also love the makeover in the garden. Keep up the good work.

A place I have been passed on many an occasion, but never inside.

It has both external and internal seating for eating and drinking. Nice during the summer months.

The place itself was clean and tidy, the bar and serving staff were attentive and quick.

The food was very reasonable (for a Sunday Lunch), the choice of beers was fairly limited

The slight let down was the state of the men's toilet. I guess whoever checks these had not done so in a while.

Staff very good , outside seating area very pleasant. Sadly the food wasn’t up to the standards we had hoped for. The roast came with a large Yorkshire which was very nice as were the veg. The roast potatoes seemed to be of a poor quality and were very salty . The meat ( on all roast meals ) was dry and fairly tasteless. I was unable to give feedback at the time as we had to rush , so apologies for that.

My husband and i visited the orange tree last night 8th feb for my birthday and were very disappointed. After ordering our food about ten minutes later the waitress informed me there was no salmon well the chef should have told her when they were running out of it normal practice in a restaurant. I ordered the chicken supreme big mistake was the tiniest piece of chicken ive see drenched in gravy and the sliced boiled potatoes and green beans made it a boring meal..no checkback was done . Although my husbands lamb shank was tasty was very small . Had to remind waitress for desert menu so all in all a very disappointing evening and we wont be returning.

Food was spot on as usual, but the service was bad to the point of just being rude, and not for the first time, seems to be if you are not a regular customer then you are not welcome, think that will be the last visit I will be make there, which is a real shame.
