We have had some amazing , positive feedback from two local commissioners today . I am so proud to share my work place with totally committed , honest , hardworking, passionate people . When you see programmes like Panorama and you look at what can and should be done it makes me angry .
Thank you to every person working for Orbis !!! I am privileged and proud to be part of your team .

No more reviews ! Let’s just close these places down man. Use the money to support people to get their own houses and their own teams in their own communities near their families and loved ones . Why would any person want to live with 10 or 12 other people . Stop placing people in these places . What are we doing man? System wide failure , we are all responsible we all have a duty to anyone we come across who has to live in these conditions . Stop looking after our own jobs and businesses and put people first . Still horrified by last nights Panorama documentary.

Everyone at Orbis will have to watch the Panorama programme aired tonight on BBC . I feel it’s our duty no matter how painful . Nothing compares to the pain and torture thousands of people with Autism and Learning Disabilities up and down the country will be enduring every day . Let’s do everything we can to support people to lead the best lives possible . Let’s do everything we can to prevent , stamp our and report abuse . X

Had another amazing day at work today spent with one amazing young woman we have supported for two years and another young woman who we may well support into the future . In addition another amazing lady returned home from hospital. It’s days like these when I have to pinch myself . I honestly look forward to getting up in the morning and doing what I do. Massive shout out to everyone connected to Orbis . I’m such a lucky person x

Its been a great week at Orbis. Lots of progress on the housing front, lots of progress on the traning front. We have had so many staff birthdays these last couple of weeks also, so lots to celebrate . Have a wonderful weekend whereever you are x

We are blessed to have Lynne Pattison as our office lead here at Orbis. This week she has transformed our offices on the banks of the River Tyne. They look amazing !! Not only is this a great place to work it’s a happy place . Thanks for all that you do Lynne x

We are really looking forward to 2019 here at Orbis . We are delighted to bring on board Maur Gray as our full time Training and Development lead. She has already made a massive difference to the quality of our support. We are also delighted to bring in benefits for our staff who work so hard . We now have Life Insurence and long term sickness Insurence in place to protect our staff and their families into the future. A perk a month through Perkbox also let’s our staff know ...we appreciate them. We may not be the best out there but we are doing all we can to look after people who go the extra mile every day for the people we support. Pay staff as best we can, train staff as best we can, look after and manage staff as best we can and low and behold you manage to keep some wonderful people . It makes a massive difference in the lives of people we support.
Here is to supporting more people from hospitals to homes in 2019. Thanks to everyone for all you do . Nigel

Totally overwhelmed by the commitment and support of an entire team who have just returned from supporting a young man in a remote location whilst his home was being refurbished. Thank you each and every one of you for going extra mile after extra mile. Our young man has just returned to his , newly refurbished, beautiful home. Proud to call you colleagues Nigel x
