Our approach is to promote all-round development, intellectual, physical, emotional and social, in a safe and nurturing environment filled with exciting activities and friendly staff. Our unique program for your child is based on their particular stage of development with careful observations. Having a curriculum from birth allows the benefit to extend a childs learning through fun and creative play that is tailored to meet their individual needs. Orchard Lea Nursery endeavours to make your child's early years the best platform to move on into the school system. We care about our children and understand each child is different - so we think it's important that with varied experiences they can find the things they enjoy. We are registered to care for 65 children in total, 15 under 2 years old, between the hours of 8am and 6pm Monday to Friday. Our catchment area is the North /East and East Bristol area, with good access roads to the city centre of Bristol - approximately two miles away and Kingswood approximately 1 mile away. We provide a safe, happy and stimulating environment in which your child can have fun and develop their self-confidence and good moral values. When you browse through our nursery you will find that it is carefully designed to provide education, care and continuity in a bright warm and friendly environment. Our dedicated team of staff are either qualified or working towards a qualification. We have a mixture of ages ranging between 19-70, many of us having between 1 and 19 years employment at Orchard Lea. We believe that it is important that staff skills are regularly updated by attending workshops and courses organised in-house or externally. All staff hold certificates in Paediatric First Aid, Food Hygiene, Manual Handling and Safeguarding Children.
