On Wednesday 22nd May, 34 OSCA students traveled to Nice in the French Riviera for 5 days of discovery and adventure. During our time there we discovered the beautiful town of Grasse where we visited the oldest perfume factory, we then went to Cannes to see the Palais du festival (Cannes Film Festival) and the gorgeous sandy beaches. The day after was spent in Monaco visiting the Oceanographic museum and the Prince's private car collection.
They also got to see the F1 racing... track and some famous drivers such as Daniel Ricciardo, Charles Leclerc and even saw a glimpse of Lewis Hamilton. We also visited a traditional sweet and chocolate factory in Nice and of course spent some time shopping in local markets, including a nocturnal market! On their last day, they saw the largest Russian Orthodox Church outside of Russia. Students were impeccably behaved and really enjoyed their time there, they didn't want to come back to rainy England!

Yr 8 Football semi final vs Wood Green Academy
Last night our Yr 8 football team have played fantastically well and have defeated Wood Green Academy 2-1 to reach the Sandwell Schools Cup final. All of the lads played fantastically well and were determined to succeed throughout. Our goalscorers tonight were Jake and Roman. They all represented the academy well in terms of their attitude and effort throughout the match. They have won every game that they have played so far this academic year. Hopefully this continues for the final!! We are really proud of the staff and students involved. Well done.
