Hometown girl Kate Arnold is back for her first performance in Birmingham since leaving in the mid 90's. Having worked with such luminaries as Steve Albini, Lisa Knapp and Tony Visconti this is sure to be a special evening. Support comes from the always brilliant yellow6, Kamura Obscura and Steckdose.

Wonderful inspiring place
So good to see such a thriving all encompassing arts venue!
Warm welcome, creative event, excellent music. Beautiful people and old building. What can I ask more?
This is a very special place, full of great people, great events and a wonderful space to be in. Love it!
Ort is one of my favourite places in Birmingham! A lovely, friendly vibe, friendly team, great events, great food, lovely people, and a real dedication to doing something worthwhile, decent, different, and good for the local community.
Ort is a wonderful grassroots art and community cafe with a lovely welcoming atmosphere, Interesting people, reasonably priced drinks and great homemade food with many vegan options. There are lots of lovely events, parties, exhibitions and things happening. Free wifi, plenty of books to read and board games and table football to play too. :)
I was lucky enough to see Louise Petit supported by Rhiannon Mair here. Both the band and support were already known & adored by me. This review is of ORT itself. On entering you are warmly greeted by the smiling Josephine preparing drinks and food. The atmosphere of ORT is warm & comfortable, mismatched furniture and crockery reinforces the relaxed nature. For the first time I was able to sample the food. I am not by nature or nurture a vegetarian, going so far as to usually preload with meat before venturing a vegetarian meal. On this occasion I was unable to, so had some concerns about being satisfied. I needn't have worried, the black bean stir fry was fresh, tasty and substantial. I accompanied this with a few tasty beers recommended to me. At the close of the evening I sampled a very tasty chain cake with lemon icing, this too was lovely. I cannot recommend ORT highly enough. 10/10
I love the Ort. Crucible of inspirational artistic endeavour. Nurturing nest of fledgling poets. And crucially for me, the womb that birthed my transition from muso to spoken word performer.
I love everything about the Ort... apart from the sliding door!! @[512271511:Jenna] should provide free tea and cake for a year to the person who can permanently solve the problem of that rattling, rumbling, noisome door... x
Great place, thoroughly enjoyed my Saturday evening at the Holistic event, I promise myself that I will sample the vegan menu, next time I visit.
Cracking little place, with friendly and helpful staff. Great for intermate gigs.
Cool place, cool people! Good café to listen a good music and spend some time with the inspiring arts!

Absolutely beautiful venue.
I visited the day café today and couldn't have been more accommodated with my food requests. Delicious nutritious vegan food, and extra friendly, keen to chat staff who went above and beyond to provide homely service. Great place to sit and do work also.
Would recommend to vegans, veggies and all food eaters!
A very intimate venue, staff really friendly and welcoming!!! Xx Look forward to visiting it again well worth the travel to see Rosie Carney.
Wonderful: An assortement of Poets and Musicians. The tone was set did not fail to disappoint. Warm atmosphere.
Unusual. Charming. Drinks and food always great. Just what Birmingham needs.
Lovely vibe, good music & good range of beers available.
