Went here last night for the 1st time. Absolutely fantastic. Great, friendly staff and the food was perfect. Daughter and I had the ribs, Wife had a burger and my Son had the Beef brisket. Mac 'n Cheese side, along with a side of onion rings, the best I've ever tasted! Well worth seeking out if you fancy a nice meal out, we will definitely be returning in the not too distant future. Its a Yes from me!!

Booked up for next Saturday evening. Got to have my onion rings lol!!

We came across this gem of a restaurant by chance ... we thought we were just going to pop in for a coffee but when we saw the delicious food being served ..we decided to stay for a roast .. the home cooked food just like mum makes especially the giant Yorkshire puddings and proper.. not frozen roast potatoes was outstanding .. the quality of food and the generous amount you get was 1st class ... the staff were so friendly and welcoming we will definitely be returning again...

Was told about the amazing food and so couldn't wait to try it. Took my daughter for lunch and sat outside as it was a beautiful day. I had the bean burger and asked if the hot sauce was hot. I'm a bit of a chilli head. Not only was it hot but I was also given a bottle of Tabasco too for good measure � happy days! My daughter had the cob salad and said it was delicious. We actually had to sit and rest afterwards because we were so full. The staff were absolutely lush and really friendly. No idea why someone has said otherwise in another review because all I saw were happy smiley customers, including a family with small children. I highly recommend this place. Looking forward to trying more of the menu. X

This hidden gem is well worth a visit, good food, good service, clean toilets, & sunshine with luck! 🌞😀🍾🥂!!

It might be an idea to put notices out requesting that people do not feed the seagulls, like a lady did yesterday, bringing them from far & wide! 🐦🐦🐦

The staff here are absolutely wonderful, so very friendly and nothing is too much trouble.

The food is awesome ! The setting is homely , accelerated by the staff that make you feel like family after 5 minutes , the music is banging , and the roasts are to die for ! Love this place ! Every visit is a memory !

Thank you to the wonderful team at Oscars who looked after our large party of 11 so very well. Sunday roast was lovely and the staff were very accommodating that I swear if they could have improved the weather today they would have done so! �

Love this place. Great beach location, friendly staff, great food and drink and reasonable prices. Watched the Red Arrows 21.07.18 from here. Perfect!

I was privileged to visit Oscars on the Square over the weekend just passed. The welcome was warm and genuine with food that was prepared with care and love. I had a thoroughly great experience and I hope this lovely venue grows in strength and success. Thankyou for having me! �

I have a new love in my life!!!!!

If everything to follow ( I intend working through the whole menu!) is as good as my first experience I'll be a very happy man!

Chicken that's smoked on the premises was sublime and a rack of ribs that took me to a page in Fried Green Tomatoes At The Whistle Stop Cafe (great read btw).

This place will go from strength to strength and my waist line will doubtless grow at same pace!

It's not just the place, but the passion of the people who work there that make this such a special and welcoming experience!

Best meal I've had the pleasure of eating! So different! Oscar's have perfected the deep south flavour and attitude! Excellent and friendly staff, exquisite food and the price just adds the cherry on top! Needs to be featured on the food network!!!

After a very windy rainy cold walk yesterday along the promenade we came upon Oscars by accident, we were welcomed by lovely bubbly friendly staff and a warm and cosy restaurant with big comfy sofa or nice simple tables and chairs for eating. A true gem, although we didn’t eat as we had already made arrangements we enjoyed a large glass of wine very reasonably priced, and chef very kindly brought us a small basket of chips on the house. Really impressed by the menu and are definitely going to return to try the in house smoked food. Lovely people, interior very nicely done with the addition of a local artists work displayed on the walls.

After a lovely beach day with my daughter Izzy, we decided to check out the new renovated promenade restaurant bar 'Oscar's' under new management. We were greeted by the owner Sara whom was very warm & friendly to us and the venue looked fab! They also have games, mags and books in a great relaxing environment and we had a superb evening. Thanks for your hospitality and we'll see you soon �
