UKHillwalking.com used our brand new Skarab 30 on a 2 day hiking trip in the Pyrenees:
"Comfy, well-vented, and a generous size for day trips, the Skarab 30 is a versatile and well-made day pack that's ideally suited to hillwalking and general outdoor use.
It's not aimed at lightweight minimalists, and it won't fit larger users well, but if you like a nicely padded pack with plenty of pockets then it's well worth seeking out."

myoutdoors.co.uk tested our new Kyte 46 hiking pack on their trip to the Austrian/ Italian Alps:
"The Osprey Kyte 46 Women’s Specific fit is definitely a contender as a bag for multi-activity outdoor consumers. It felt practical as it was big enough to store all my winter kit in, sensible to be used in day to day civilisation and comfortable enough for carrying a full day’s worth of kit in the mountains as a relatively lightweight load."

Unfortunately I've become accustomed to poor customer service recently and wasn't overly enthusiastic to make a claim about stitching becoming undone on my daypack.
However I got a response within 24 hours and a replacement delivered to me within a week. Awesome!
Other than that, I love my Farpoint 70 and it is simply a lifeline when backpacking around. These bags are definitely worth shelling out on + the customer service and all mighty guarantee is superb :)
Our bag was broken at an airport during travel. After a few emails and making sure we were in the correct spot for repair, we mailed the bag off for repair. It was mailed, repaired, and arrived on our doorstep in 7 days. We are blown away with the level of customer service!!!
Osprey products have been best we've had. We have a range of backpacks for backpacking trips, packs for biking and packs for day trips etc. Any issues and they have been either replaced or refunded if we change our minds but only to buy again.
Osprey has an amazing web customer service and despite the fact of not having online sales for Portugal they were atencious and helpful making possible for me to contact the re-seller. Now I have a fairpoint 40 and I'm thrilled. This is the way to treat customers! Thank you
Osprey backpacks have been the best I have had. I have Manta 28 & Porter 46 and I am extremely satisfied with the quality of these backpacks. Functional, lightweight, comfortable. Big variety of choices for any activities! I totally recommend Osprey! :)
My Mira backpack has been with me for 3 years with sporty everyday routines and bicycles. I'm satisfied, it is well ventilated, "everything" fit&compact. I find good ideas on the site, I'm happy to go back to watching the videos. There may be another Osprey backpack ;-)
Love your products. One of my bag's buckle broke after 5 month of extensive use in my asian travel. Sent an email, got a new buckle a few days later. Thanks !
I'm overwhelmed how responsive and fast the customer service is. I really did not expect to be helped in my case, but I just tried it. The customer service answered me within a short time and helped to 100%.
Thanks a lot for this!
(Normally I do not write any reviews, but for such a positive result I like to do it).
I will always buy Osprey, especially now, for one simple reason - Their amazing guarantee program.
Also their packs fit me especially well. They have far better packs designed for the female body than other competitors. BUT their guarantee program is awesome. I had a pack for maybe 10 years, the zippers broke and they replaced it with a new pack within 2 days of me sending it in! I literally sent my old, falling apart pack out on Wednesday and had a replacement for free by Friday. Originally I had just asked for a repair and I would have paid but they offered to send a new pack of similar value for free. I was/am amazed. Also Viktoria Spengler was an amazing customer service representative throughout. She even emailed me on Thursday to say she had received my pack and that they had the one I had requested in their local center and would mail it out that day. AND THEN, Friday she also emailed me to make sure I got it. Wow! Customer service to the max. Love it. Will always be back and have already sung their praises to at least 10 people and will keep doing so for anyone who is interested in quality packs with a great fit and guarantee.
I usually don't write reviews for products and companies but Osprey just blew my mind with their incredible customer support.
Two days ago I wrote Osprey an email that a clip of my (amazing) backpack got damaged in the airplane.
A few minutes later I got already a very friendly response in my inbox that I just have to fill out a form and then they'll sent me a new clip. So far, so good.
When I looked unsuspecting in my mailbox today, a letter from Osprey was inside. TWO DAYS later, a had a new clip in my hands. That's just mind blowing. Never had such a fast and great support.
Chapeau, Osprey! Nice job.
I own 3 Osprey backpacks and each of them is great. The 65l backpack for multi-day hiking trips, the 40l Farpoint for general traveling and the 22l Talon for day trips. Most of them I've owned for years now and they don't have any damage yet. Money well spent!
I love the Osprey packs, and now even more because of the professional customer service of Osprey! My sternum strap broke through rough transport during a backpack trip in Colombia. This shouldn't be inside guarantee regulations. Though they sent me a free replacement strap! Thank you Osprey, very happy to optimal use my backpack again:)
Have to say that I'm shocked to read some of the reviews that trash Osprey here on facebook. I've had a couple of their packs and they have never failed me. Only a couple of issues that have occurred due to user mistakes and every time customer service has been quick to respond and resolve the issues. It's really not common to see this type of customer service now a days. 11/10.
Did a seven day hike Kevo Nationalpark Lapland, Finland and have to say that my three year old Aether 70 still works and looks like brand new. Didn't have to hang anything outside (don't like it), had everything inside tent, sleeping bag, mattress. food, Trangia, clothes and small things (24kg). Four of our five person party had an Osprey bag and no one had anything bad to say once we had fitted them to our comfort. A big thank you is in order.
Bought a Xenith 88 recently to replace my 30 year old Berghaus AB 65. Have been absolutely delighted with it. The fit is great, the attention to detail is amazing, and it is so much more comfortable than my old pack. If you're thinking of investing in a decent pack, I'd highly recommend the Xentih 88. The only downside, is you'll need to buy a rain cover and hydration pack for it. Otherwise, brilliant.
As first time buyers, our packs were more than amazing. After 250km+ walking on Via Francigena, we have return as happy customers, looking forward to our next walking adventure with our packs!
I have been using Osprey packs for years and have always loved them. I still love them, their customer service not so much though!
I recently ordered a pack direct from the website and a week or so later received the email stating that the pack had been delivered, went home and nothing at the house and no note to say where it had been delivered to or left. I called the delivery company with my tracking number and they said that it had been delivered but I then failed security with the incorrect address. I then spoke direct to Osprey and they said to go back to the delivery company as the fault was with them. This went on for a few days until Osprey said that they would send a new pack out and gave me a form to complete. This was done and another pack was dispatched... a few days go by and I check the tracking number to see and error message, I call the delivery company and they confirm that the address is incorrect but this time the address doesn't actually exist! I go back to Osprey and so goes a few days of emails back and forth where the delivery company won't release the pack to me unless Osprey email stating that I can. Again, I'm told the error must be with the delivery company until finally Osprey see that the mistake is theirs... however an email never made it's way back to the delivery company so I didn't get the pack and it was returned by the delivery company.
This is all a real shame as I absolutely love the packs but feel let down by the companies customer service. I think from now on I'll just have to stick to buying their packs off a third party website. Strangely enough this is what i ended up doing and got the pack 2 days after order and it was even cheaper than on the Osprey website!
For now made the order and I have only sent confirmation e-mail and nothing more, I asked for info by e-mail and I have not received a reply I have made the order four days and as it seems they have not yet sent it quickly in fulfilling orders it is not their strong point
First time I've ever invested in an Osprey pack. I've got the exos 48. Very poor quality material. I've had it 3 months and already managed to put a hole in the front. God knows how but it is now useless. I use it my for my mountain rescue kit but now everything needs to be bagged up. I've always managed with cheap packs and thought I would invest in quality. Disappointed.
