Simon and I were very pround to be awarded with gold in the South West England Tourism Excellence Awards for Access and Inclusivity.

Otter Pool Barn has just been awarded GOLD in the South West Tourism Awards. Access and Inclusivity category.

The tree is decorated, but no Christmas booking or new year booking. Go on you know you want to!

Off to another award ceremony on 7th Feb! We will be Gold, Silver or Bronze winner for the South West!

Otter Pool Barn is a finalist in TWO categories of the Devon tourism awards 2018. We find out on November 22nd if we have a gold, silver or bronze award in the Access and Inclusivity Award and also in the Tourism Innovation and New Business Award. Please wish us well!

Look carefully and you will see Sue, one of this week's visitors to Otter pool Barn, teaching our alpacas and cria (baby alpacas) to hand feed at the farm. Looking at Sue's smile and the relaxed alpacas I find it hard to say who enjoyed it more!

Grace meets one of our younger visitors from Otter Pool Barn. Definitely my favourite photo of the year. If you are staying at the barn make sure you ask to meet the alpacas back on the farm.

This week we were able to make a lovely guest smile when we produced a sling bar for the hoist for the pool (she is unable to sit in the chair attachment). In exchange she let us have these photos to use to let other guests know that regardless of disability, if they have a suitable sling, they can now use the hydrotherapy pool and the hot tub! Please remember to bring your slings when you come to stay!

Our visitors at Otter Pool Barn came to the main farm and met the rest of the alpaca herd yesterday. I think the smiles say it all!

What an amazing place, every single detail has been thought of. House is stunning, pool is beautiful and the surroundings are just breath taking.

Very impressed with this holiday home, it is brilliant for all the family and amazing for the disabled member in particular.

Great that it is also dog friendly as that can be hard to find. Love the hot tub and pool, only negative is the lake for fishing as it seems a bit neglected and not easy to reach . Not too important though as everything else so impressive.

This holiday exceeded all our expectations, having a disabled cousin of 18 years old not only myself but everyone else couldn't believe how relaxed he was here not just a few days but from the first day we arrived to when we left, this is so rare and was a delight for us all as we too could enjoy the break away with ease. It has that lovely home from home feeling with all the quirky decor, the family games and outside area.

The size of the land is breath taking, are party of 12 ranged from the age of 4-50+ and knowing that they were safe to run fun was wonderful, when you thought you had seen it all there really was more. The Alpacas were a joy to visit daily and feed. The swimming pool area was perfect too, we really couldn't find a fault in the beautiful barn conversion. If you have a disabled member of the family then they have thought of everything to the littlest of details.

Kate and Simon your hard work really has paid off giving something to disabled people who usually find going away uncomfortable and frustrating you have allowed there minds to be at ease too. Thank you so much for all your effort into what makes the perfect disabled holiday home. It's a holiday we won't be forgetting and hope many more people in our position find this place to be just as relaxing.
