Ouse Meadow Campsite

Great little camp site! Best thing is you have your own little fire pit !!!

Nice relaxed campsite that encourages and open bonfire at every pitch. Toilets and shower ate basic but clean. Just over the road from Sheffield Park Bluebell railway station. You can hear the steam trains.

We took our 4 yr old son camping for the first time here. I wanted somewhere with lots of nature, where we could build a campfire- proper traditional camping. Well, he loved it! From foraging in the woods for sticks to cook marshmallows on the camp fire; hearing the owls and other birdsong; to swinging in the hammocks and rope swings. There's lots of space for children to play and run around. Facilities are basic but clean with everything you need. We will be back again.

Relaxed campsite with plenty of room for BBQs, campfires and field games. There are badminton nets and swingball sets around the site which can be readily used by anyone.

The site is in a beautiful location right next to the Bluebell Railway and National Trust Sheffield Park, with a river running through the middle. There's a nice walk from there to the nearby village of Newick. The owner Neil is very friendly and helpful, and sells reasonably priced wood for the campfire!

NB I found the facilities absolutely adequate but if you want luxury, there are always hotels! For everyone else, would recommend very highly.
