The OUIHC Blues teams compete in the top university leagues and play the historic Varsity Match against the Cambridge University Blues.

This is the official Facebook page for the Oxford University Blues teams - part of the Oxford University Ice Hockey Club (the only university recognised ice hockey club).

The OUIHC prepares Men's and Women's Blues teams to compete in the top university hockey leagues (BUIHA Division 1), the National Championship and the Annual Varsity Match against the Cambridge University Blues. Like this page for photos, videos, results and more.

The Oxford University Ice Hockey Club is one of the oldest ice hockey clubs in the world, with the roots of the sport at Oxford University tracing back to an inaugural Varsity Match between scholars of Oxford and Cambridge. Since then, the Men's Blues have had a detailed history and now represent Oxford University along side the Women's Blues who formed in 1981. The Oxford jersey is a club jersey and so is shared by both Blues teams, hanging proudly in the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto.

Like all Oxford sports teams, our main rival is Cambridge University and this rivalry is among the oldest worldwide, subsequently many generations of ice hockey players have played Cambridge with a select number earning Oxford Blues for their Varsity performances (see Awards).

We welcome players of all abilities, whether you are a seasoned player (our team boasts a number of North American and European players with considerable experience) or a hockey novice.

Our club promotes an inclusive ice hockey community that reflects the values of our 800 + year old institution. In keeping with these values we welcome ice hockey players from Oxford Brookes University in addition to visiting students and academic staff of Oxford University.
