Oxford University Korea Society
About Oxford University Korea Society
A non-profit organisation founded to promote a better understanding of Korean culture, staffed entirely by current students at the University of Oxford.
Oxford University Korea Society Description
OUKS is home to Oxford's Korean community. We hold a number of social and academic events both during term at Oxford and during the vacation for students living in or visiting South Korea. OUKS aims to foster a better understanding of Korean culture, language, gastronomy and mixology, as well as to help Korean students transitioning to life at a UK university.
During the year, we will be holding Offer-holders' meet ups and activities in Korea, and various events including Society drinks and dinners when we get back to Oxford, where all members - Korean or Non-Korean are welcome!
Members can also benefit from a series of Korean language lessons free of charge and cultural activities, such as Kimchi making classes, Korean food festivals, or K-pop nights.
OUKS is also a point of contact for Korean businesses, so we can assist students seeking career opportunities abroad.
The current committee has been preparing a line-up of fantastic events for this year so please watch this space for further updates!
