We stayed here for three nights and it was very good. For various reasons we had to change rooms and was given an upgrade free of charge.

The rooms are clean. The food is very good especially the dinner menu but the best part of our stay was the wonderful staff most of all Cristina. Thank you all very much.

User

We had afternoon tea here today,it was really lovely, the staff were good and made sure we had everything we wanted. They refilled our tea and coffee as we we went and the food was delicious!

User

User

All the staff couldn't do enough for you.

We booked again to go back.

User

Had an amazing weekend staff super friendly it was a 1sr weekend away with my boyfriend and we both loved every minute of. Pool and sauna was amazing food more than amazing couldn't put words to it.

Keep up the great work and we will be back again soon

User

We had afternoon tea here today for a friends birthday. We enjoyed the whole experience from start to finish, the staff in the restaurant were very attentive and accommodating, we had 2 young babies with us too and they made sure we had enough space for pushchairs etc. We were offered a selection of hot drinks and these were refilled whenever we needed it, a lovely selection of sandwiches alongside some delicious scones and a section of little cakes. Well worth the money and we felt very relaxed and happy during our afternoon here. Thank you very much all, we will be back and will be recommending

We arrived mid afternoon and enjoyed a couple of hours in the spa before enjoying a wonderfull Swedish massage. This was followed later by an evening meal with wine, also an enjoyable event. Downsides The pool area could do with a bit of a makeover the bar was expensive and breakfast plates were ridiculously hot, oven gloves would of been a better option than paper serviettes:)

User

Very very good hotel. I don’t usually stay in hotels much but my mum booked this for my wife and I through wowcher. I was taken back by the warm welcoming service. Every member of staff that I came into contact made me feel important, which was slightly unsettling as it’s not something I’m used to haha.

The facilities are great, I loved the spa, pool and sauna/steam rooms and came away feeling very relaxed.

The room was nice and clean and bed was comfortable, which is pretty much all I really expect from a hotel room, so no complaints here.

The only reason I give it a 4 instead of a 5 is that the food wasn’t amazing. It certainly wasn’t horrible and I did enjoy my dinner / breakfast, it just wasn’t out of this world and the menu was perhaps a little limited. The bar is also very expensive I found, but I’m not sure if that’s just down to being a northerner being down south for the night haha. But I’m nitpicking really.

Overall, a lovely stay. I’m not likely to return as I’m unlikely to be in that part of the world much, but I would definitely recommend this hotel. Witney also seems a nice little town too, although I didn’t spend too long there.

User

The hotel itself was lovely food extremely good and service good. The only thing that let it down for me personally was the spa was quite small with not enough space to cater for the amount of guests using it. The changing rooms were very small.

Myself and a friend had spa treatments and there was only one masseuse for the both of us and this was a little unorganised but don’t get me wrong the treatment itself was amazing.

User

Stayed here for the first time last night Saturday 11th November, brought as a Birthday gift from my partner, which included Bed, Breakfast, 2 course evening meal and a bottle of house wine, thought it was great value, we stayed on the first floor, room was clean, tidy and spacious, if I was being over critical I would say the bathroom could do with an overhaul, but was satisfactory, heard no noises during the night, which was lovely, the food was good, and staff very friendly, although be careful if having the deal on the dinner, an additional course is charged at £6-95, but the cheese and biscuits carried a £2-95 surcharge, so £9-90 for what we had per person was excessive in our opinion, Breakfast this morning was plenty, arrived at 9 am and was fully stocked and piping hot, no complaints at all, after Breakfast we used the pool and Sauna facilities, no complaints again, will definitely recommend and we will be back there again in the future

User

Nice lay out, good location for exploring Cotswold and Oxford. Rooms good size and clean...drinks and food expensive but places close by as alternative. P,entry of parking, easy access plus Swimming pool, sauna and steam room, conference facilities ...would use again.

User

Nice hotel bit noisy with the road near by but clean nice food and very good service. All the staff were very nice and happy to help. Spa pool was also relaxing.

User

Ok so its took me nearly a year to write a review. Hotel nice clean friendly staff.. but we had a specific issue and both my husband and i felt that the staff did not help asmuch as they probably should have at the time and after. Because of the upset that happend we more than likley wouldn't return. But i must point out although the issue happend on hotel grounds the issue was not the hotels fault which is probably why we felt we recieved little help in the situation.

User

Lovely hotel from the outside, reception, bar and restaurant beautiful. Unfortunately when we went up to our room it was like we were in another hotel. Very basic, not as nice as a premier inn. Bed was very uncomfortable- lots of noises at night. The staff were 1st class in all departments, and the food was too. Such a shame about the room, very dated.

User

As this was are wedding night we were very excited about staying. On arriving we were greeted by 3 very nice members of staff,we were shown part way to our suite. The suite was lovely with the bed covered in rose petals and two swans made out of towels,ok so far. We decided to order room service and we were told we had to pay there and then with cash as the card machine wasn’t working but we said we didn’t have any cash on us but they still insisted. Then I remembered we had been given some for wedding present so we had to use that,in the morning we ordered breakfast which was included in our package but there was another £5 tray charge. The young lady put our 2 English breakfast on table and I asked her what time we had to be out of the suite, which she replied “don’t know I work in the kitchen”. We both sat down to eat breakfast which looked amazing. So we’re very disappointed when everything was stone cold. We did complain at desk but her shoulders were shrugged and that was that! Disappointing end to our wedding celebrations!

User

Just got back from staying here with mixed feelings. Fools was excellent though brassiere staff amazing bar staff didn’t even look at you. Room quite clean but breakfast omfg......complete chaos!!! 3 couples seated at the same table yesterday including us, no orders for tea or coffee and when we finally got coffee he seemed shocked we asked for milk and cups ?!?! Popped outside at one point to someone hanging out of their window smoking saying ‘oi you taking the piss’ dear god not pleasant. Don’t be fooled at the scenery you over look a car park and main road. Lounge bar so small you end up in the corridor and I like to dress up for dinner but actually didn’t bother this weekend Just wasn’t worth it not that type of place. Had to ask repeatedly for a bottle of wine and cheese and biscuits ordered it was supposed to be a treat.......

User

Wow what a waste off money. I would rather sleep in my car outside. Doors slamming all night. You can hear everyone in there rooms next door. Come down for breakfast at 9:50 to have most the stuff put away. When ask where it is they say breakfast is only served till 10. Yep so we got 10 minutes but to no avail they Carried I’m putting it away. No juice available. Asked for a table for 5 so they pushed to tables together. One was dirty so the lady just swept the crumbs on to the floor. Never came back to wipe the table down.

To then burn your fingers on the plates and all they could offer was a napkin to hold it with. Believe me it’s the first and the last time I would ever use this place.

Be warned if your looking for a hotel make sure This is the last place you choose.

You can thank me later

User

We stayed one night at this hotel and couldn't wait to leave. Extremely poor service and terrible microwaved food. Inexperienced couldn't care less staff who had never heard of customer service. Bar and restaurant deserted by staff who we found in the kitchen chatting to the chef. We use the word "chef" loosely. Dinner was tasteless and microwaved. Breakfast was the worst we have experienced in all our extensive traveling. We were kept awake by staff smoking close to our room. We also stayed at the Premier Inn and Blue Boar in Witney which were both excellent. Four star Oxford Whitney, forget it. This place does not deserve any business.

User

So we we were planning on attending the wedding fair today... I checked on the website and on Facebook because if it was cancelled it would be up telling me...Nope no messages so must still be on.

My soon to be parent in laws also wanted to come along so they drove from Bampton. We arrive and their promotional flyer is up and then walk through to then ask at reception where it is.

"Its been postponed for about 4 weeks".

Okay point number 1: if they know it's been postponed for at least 4 weeks, means this decision was made before this morning.

I asked why it wasn't on Facebook or the website, the response "oh it should have been".

Point number 2: it takes seconds to update a Facebook event AND minutes to update a website page - trust me I know, I'm a web designer!!

My fiance and I were considering this place as a venue for our wedding, not anymore and I will be telling my friends and family about how you handle cancelling events. It's not on one bit and you should be extremely disappointed in yourself and your events team!
