Jo is now offering post natal Mummy MOT's at Raleigh Park Clinic in Botley! After having a baby, half of all women have a weakness in either their tummy or pelvic floor area – over a third suffer with chronic pelvic pain. This creates instability and poor core strength which can result in altered transfer load, back pain, pelvic pain, bladder and bowel weakness. A Mummy MOT helps women avoid these distressing and often embarrassing symptoms. Jo's assessment of your tummy gap... and pelvic floor will enable the creation of a bespoke post-natal recovery programme plan devised especially for you, depending on your lifestyle and fitness goals, including specific and safe post-natal exercises to regain stability and optimum function. A Mummy MOT will involve; A thorough post natal check up  Pelvic floor strength and tummy gap assessment  Personal exercise and activity plan  Optional 6-8 week post natal pilates programme. If you have any concerns about your post natal recovery, don't hesitate to call us and book your Mummy MOT today.

Stretching with Scissors and the magic circle, a piece of equipment we frequently use in our classes to help our clients focus on their core strength and pelvic floor support. Elisa is demonstrating a dynamic hamstring stretch using the circle in this video and she looks incredible after the birth of her twin boys less than a year ago! Maybe pilates could do the same for you?

For those of you who don't have any idea what a women's health physiotherapist does, you might enjoy this performance by Elaine Miller who is a women's health physio/comedian who sees comedy as the best way to get her message accross. 85% of pelvic floor problems can be cured within 5 physiotherapy sessions which is far more effective than drugs or surgery and far less risky! Don't just put up with it or assume it is normal, come and see Jo who can help you build your strength back up and return to full function again as quickly as possible.
