Humanities Week - Cake Sale
Congratulations to Year 7 students Lottie, Isobelle and Jess, who organised a cake sale to raise money for our chosen charity Love The Oceans. We are delighted to confirm they raised £133.73. 👏👏🍰🍰

Congratulations to Issy and Claudia who competed in their first competition of the season - ICC Southern Championship in Guildford. They won both their divisions.
Unity Pearl is their Junior Level 3 All Girl Team and is one of the top scoring teams in the UK; they hit zero in their performance on Saturday. Unity Indigo is their Senior Level 4 Co-ed Team. They are back in training this week preparing for the ICC British Open in Nottingham at the end of March.

What a great comment to receive: A big thank you to the staff at Oxted for introducing them to the sport in Year 7; it is unbelievable that within three years they are now part of the most successful clubs in the UK.

Humanities Week
We welcomed Neil, Pam and Digby from Greenpeace UK to talk to Year 8 students in more detail plastic in our oceans, our theme for Humanities week.
They were able to show images and videos of the potential risks that plastic pose for our wildlife and how quickly it can then affect humans in regards to the food chain. Students were able to consider what they can do to change their everyday practices to reduce this risk.
... A display has been set up at the back of the Old Hall, sharing more information about this issue.
