Well where do I start? Visited perola do mar all the way from London and I couldn’t be any more pleased, it was definitely worth the trip!. The food smelt and tasted great, not to mention the amazing presentation. The staff were friendly and polite, they definetly made me feel welcome and my dining experience one to remember!. A huge shout out to the chef the food was scrumptious, fresh, hot and full of flavour just the way I like it. Ive told all my family and friends and would recommend this restaurant to everyone, you won’t be disappointed.. looks like I’ll be back again very soon can’t wait ��

Visited for the first time tonight and was really pleased that we did. A strange setting but don’t judge any book by its cover! The welcome was great and the food was exceptional. Freshly prepared so expect to have to wait a little for your order to arrive. The wait however is well worth it and i do not give 5 stars easily. Exceptional food, great welcome and a great price. We will be returning with family and friends in the very near future.

Visited a couple of weeks ago for my mums birthday and were very lucky we managed to get a table with only a couple of days notice as the place is so small and usually booked up! The food was lovely and the staff were all really friendly. Would definitely go again!

Very Good Portuguese Restaurant. The steak with mushrooms was great, and the grilled fish was perfect. I congratulate the person that served us, João was outstanding providing us with all that we asked and more... We will be back soon.

Once again the food was amazing. We hired the full restaurant (22 people). Everyone had a starter + main meal and loved them. Only a few of us had room for dessert......

I visited Perola do Mar when I visited from Weston-super-Mare. The owner is an excellent host, Ceu is an excellent cook. I had the fish soup � and the catch of the day. � Perfect Perola sauce seasoning. I'm never going to a chain restaurant ever again! 5 stars!!! �

I came here last night with my girlfriend and four friends. The food was fantastic as was the Portuguese rose wine. Non of us had been before but we will all go back. I can recommend this restaurant to anyone who values

Had a fantastic meal for a party of 6. Small place family run very hospitable. Good selection on the menu for a taste of Portuguese / Maderian dishes. Food very tasty , authentic and well flavoured. Defo would go back! Enjoyed the desserts too !

At first glance you think...ok, maybe this isn't a great idea. But you would be so wrong. The restaurant is small but the staff are so friendly and efficient and the food...well, I now want to visit Portugal! Absolutely delicious! Generous portions of authentic Portuguese cuisine, NOT pub food, freshly made, wonderful. Can't praise this place enough. Thank you!

Another lovely meal at Perola Do Mar � Gorgeous food and great service! We had the mothers day menu, it was mum's first time and she was very impressed. We all thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely return. Thanks for a great time!

Absolutely amazing food! I had the chorizo to start which came on it’s own fire lit grill! Cooking at the table! � it’s was delicious! I’m then had the chicken and chorizo skewers which were absolutely amazing! I was a very full and very happy customer!



The guys working were very attentive and made our whole party feel very welcome!

My first visit to the restaurant, visiting from Dubai with 2 friends who have been before. The food was fantastic, however, you lost a star as you really need to review your corkage charge. I love that it’s BYO (supposed to make an evening out cheaper) but to charge £9 to open one bottle of wine was a little bit of a shock. There was only us & 3 other people in there.

We understand that if you get a big party you need to make money, but you could use your discretion in times like this.

Before anyone gets on their high horse, we are not being tight but this was a little over the top as a charge
