Happi Dayz at the Pack Horse Inn raised over £1000 last night for local charities. Thanks to all that attended and to the staff that helped.

Went with the family and had a lovely meal. It was the first time that we had been to this pub but we will definitely go again and will recommend it to others also. You can eat in either the bar section or restaurant.

User

Went to the packhorse inn with work pals yesterday, two of us get a phone call today to say we have won a prize. A hamper each. We also got presents whilst at the table, chocolates and earrings. Delighted. Loved the Christmas spirit in there. Thanks I’m a regular here and loved it before but now double love.

The moment you walk through the door into the comfortable surroundings you feel calm.

Service and communications from the staff and management is exemplary.

The food is outstanding every time I have eaten here.

Keep up the good work and thank you all for your time and effort you put into keeping this establishment to such a high standard x

User

Lovely meal tonight. Service was spot on and staff were friendly and helpful. The food was really lovely, cooked well. The dessert containing raspberries, mango, sorbet, custard and ice cream was absolutely sublime. I’m having that for my starter, main and dessert next time. The attention to detail also needs mentioning. Umbrellas, toiletries, lady products and lovely hand cream but not a penny required - that is unusual these days but very much appreciated. Highly recommended.

User

Lovely little pub, the food was traditional home cooked grub with generous portions sizes, staff and service was excellent. Just love it here especially in winter when the fires are on. Thank you ÔøΩ

User

Lovely food and great staff who made us very welcome and accommodated all our requests to make the lunch very special for a lovely lady who was celebrating her 80th birthday. Beautiful setting and relaxed atmosphere.

Had our annual Xmas jumper party on the 2nd December we try somewhere new every year and I can honestly say I won't be trying anywhere else. 20+ people and all the food coming out on time, the staff were fantastic! And defenitly went the extra mile to make us all welcome. I'll be back soon and well be back next year for the same again. Thanks again you made it a night to remember.

User

Carol (landlady) was supporting a charity murder mystery evening for Macmillan Cancer Support which I had organised. Above and beyond the call of duty!! The staff were brilliant and the food was excellent. A friendly and welcoming country pub. Thank you üòä

Came for birthday lunch for my rider sister with our dad. We waited a while for our meal but we had great service, cheery faces and friendly waiting staff. Food was lovely and we so touched as they placed a BIRTHDAY Balloon for my sister on the table which was a fab touch. Big Thanks x

User

Amazing food and great service warm welcoming and great views from the beer garden

User

Absolutely fantastic service and value..when we finished our meal we were told it’s cheeky Tuesday and gave us a free desert. Will try to get there more often.

User

Absolutely delightful place! All the staff are amazing, top service, the management should be proud! The only downside is, I'm never going to find a pie as good as the steak and ale pie I had at the pack horse! It was the best pie I've ever had in my life!! Thankyou very much, definitely be back again!!

User

Waited long time for the meal but it was worth it when we got it .

User

walking up to the packhorse entrance we were met with a chalk board sign that read "The difference between a beer and your opinion is that I asked for a beer....

Personally I would have walked away after being greeted by that ! but I was with a family group so we continued in . The place was dead ( I wonder why) The staff were nice and the food we had was ok (typical pub grub ) I wouldn't go out of my way to visit again , there are plenty of other places with a much nicer welcome in the area , and btw you need to clean your highchair straps, my niece couldnt strap her baby in they were so filthy !

User

To start with we were left standing in a queue to be seated when there was 3 members of staff stood around the till area. Once we got shown to our table we was asked what drinks we wanted before we even had chance to sit down. My daughter asked for lemonade and was brought a pint of it - she's 5 years old! Rather than make a fuss I asked for a straw. After about 20 mins or so we was finally asked what we wanted to order. Well the food was bland, chips under done, nothing on the side with the child's chicken and fries. Lasagne ok but garlic bread was dripping with grease. Male manager humiliating a young female member of staff in front of customers because she hadn't written a table number on an order - disgraceful!!! Won't be returning again any time soon.
