Paddlesworth Produce Description
Muddy Boots Farm offers hands-on experiences on a real, working smallholding based just outside Burnham on Crouch, Essex.
The farm was started by First Generation Farmer, Katie (B. A. Hons. , C. E. V. A. S. ). Following her Teacher Training and time working for the Essex Wildlife Trust in their education department, she desperately wanted to help children enjoy being outdoors and learn life lessons such as where our food comes from, how to care for animals, how to work as a group and how to look after our environment.
Young people are invited onto the farm to take part in fun, hands-on activities such as walking the goats, grooming the pigs and collecting the eggs. All activities are carried out with the aim of boosting the children's knowledge and confidence in the outdoors.
WARNING - sessions always include: mud, mess & lots of fun!
Fun and practical sessions for under 12's will take place on the farm but must be pre-booked. The farm is open to the public on the 1st Sunday of every month 10-2.
