Went for a mid week romantic dinner for two, the staff went above and beyond for my partners birthday, he was so surprised. Amazing food and amazing service, very professionally attentive and funny off the two serving gentlemen. Would recommend and defiantly will be going back!

This venue is one of my most favourite places to eat and socialise. The food is always spot on, the place is always clean and tidy and presentation is always top notch.

And as for the staff.. absolutely lovely, very attentive, polite, smart and friendly.

Dine here fairly often (not often enough!) & recently brought some of my managers here for a Christmas meal... nothing but positive comments from all of them.

Keep up the fantastic work!

My husband and I enjoyed a really lovely meal here last night. The staff are so friendly and the food was amazing. The decor is also very nice. We will be returning and bringing our friends and family next time!!

Just had afternoon tea as an early birthday present for my daughters best friend. It was well worth the cost and the food was beautiful and there was lots of it so much so that we couldn't finish it. We were asked if we wanted what was left be boxed up to take home at the end. Thoroughly recommend it and the staff were lovely too.

I visited on 14.04.2017 for afternoon tea with my daughter and my mum I can honestly say the staff were lovely and attentive. The food was fresh and didnt scrimp on the fillings and what can I say about the scones to die for .. would highly recommend this place

Had a fantastic afternoon tea at the blue bridge. The staff were very attentive but not pushy in anyway. Food was incredible. Thoroughly enjoyed being myself and my cousin. Would highly recommend

Brilliant service and amazing food. Great cocktail list with knowledgeable staff. Plenty of room and a real homely atmosphere and an adorable tea room that's open every day for tea and coffee. Even a selection of retail wines that you can take home!

As per usually the food was out this world as always, although service could of been slightly better but apart from that. A super night - lovely food, attentive (but not intrusive) staff, wonderful cocktails - the best espresso martini I've ever had - tap water offered, and a relaxing, pleasant ambience in tasteful surroundings. What's not to like? Well done Bridge St.

Visited for afternoon tea, really friendly staff and was able to swap prawn sandwiches for ham which was good. Good value for what we paid. Only suggestion would be to have another sandwich filling option, as we were just left with ham and cheese and cucumber after removing the prawn. All in all a lovely afternoon

Took my mum here yesterday (7/6/17) for sparkling afternoon tea - was really lovely atmosphere and decor, staff very friendly and attentive, cakes, scones and other sweet treats were fab as were the gorgeous little cast iron tea pots. Only criticism if I have one was could of done with a little more variety in sandwiches, prawn and salad, cheese and cu, but 2 ham and salad, would of been nice to have a salmon and cream cheese or even egg mayo as a fourth choice. Will definitely be back for lunch or dinner!

Lovely lunch and setting. The menu was different to those on the website, however we had enough choice to choose from. Pleasant and attentive staff (without going over the top).

Well if im honest myself and my girlfriend went on a thursday evening for a meal , there only approx 15 guests but the wait for service and our meal was ridiculous, dont get me wrong i dont like to rush meals but nearly 3 hours from start to finish and then getting the bill wrong then waiting a long time again the recalculate it , what should have been a lovely chilled evening ended up so frustrating and to top being asked if we would like a little after meal drink usual on the house charged us £4.00 each . Not impressed by the whole evening and such a shame because it looked a really place and had good reviews.

I will not rushing back .

We were a party of five, including a toddler in a high chair, who came to lunch on Easter Sunday. The serving staff were efficient and helpful, providing chips for the child, although they weren't on the menu and explaining why there was some delay in serving our dessert.

The food was acceptable but not brilliant. In particular, the chef really should know how to roast potatoes so that they are fluffy in the middle and crisp on the outside; ours were indeed fluffy in the middle but just hard on the outside. My roast beef, though tender, was a little over-cooked.

One of my guests wondered why his salmon was served in a bowl, which made manipulating a knife and fork a bit more difficult than if he had been served his food on a plate. Bowls are surely for food that is eaten with a spoon or fork only.

Really disappointed with the afternoon tea we had,

Nobody asked what we would like or if we had any dietary requirements so we got ham & mustard sandwich’s (don’t like mustard) so asked if we could have without mustard which they did bring us, prawn sandwiches ( 2 of us don’t eat prawns) and cheese & cucumber,

The scones were more-like rock cakes very flat and crumbly,

And the cakes were 3 tiny cubes no bigger than 1inch sq of chocolate, carrot, and poppyseed cake

After eating the sandwiches we had to ask for clean plates as didn’t want to eat cake off of plates that had had prawns and cheese on, We were asked what we would like to drink and we were brought our pot of tea and milk but after a while we had to get up to ask for cups to put it in,

Also when paying the bill were charged a service charge for 2 beers that the men had!! Sorry but Don’t think we will return

Lovely setting, polite courteous staff. The tea was delicious, nice sandwiches, lots of filling, scones with cream, and a nice selection of cake, glass of prosecco. The only niggle was when we arrived we where asked if we wanted water. We weren't told this was not inclusive to the bill (already paid for by groupon). So upon leaving we were called back (loudly) to the till so we could pay for it. £4.50 for a bottle of sparkling water in my opinion is a bit steep ! Especially when they don't tell you it's extra and seeing as it was a very hot day, we assumed wrongfully it was included. It was embarrassing as we had a lovely time up till then and it sort of marred the experience, we also felt like we've done something terribly wrong. There was no bill of sale for the water on the table and no receipt when my husband paid for it as well. Please to avoid any more confusion, make it clear to customers that water is extra, just to avoid this embarrassing scenario again. Apart from that it was lovely.

Unfortunately was very disappointed with the meal and service.

Waiter very creepy seemed to just appear felt like he was staring at us.

The other waiter leaned across my partner while he was eating to retrieve an empty bottle, no excuse me or anything.

The waitress however was very nice polite not bugging you all the time or staring.

It seemed to be bring your children to work day three of the waiters children running about, food was ok but really not worth the £49 we paid (plus service charge)

To be honest if you want a Sunday roast pop to the carvery, save a fortune.

will not be returning.

It's a shame as previously we had had few very very nice meals there...
