I took my disabled husband to the store for shoes. Had to ask to get by the assistants at the back till who were busy discussing their hours and lack of staffing! Returned to said staff and excused myself to ask Christine for shoes in my husbands size, she quickly got them, thrust them into my hands and went back to her chatting, no offer of asstance so I undid his shoes helped him on with the new shoes, etc., took them to the till to pay where they were still chatting, she asked if they were ok, I told her they were but that her customer skills were lacking, I got an offhand apology. Later I emailed the manageress with my complaint but over a week has gone by without so much as an acknowledgment of receipt.

Good department store.

Popped in on a quiet Saturday afternoon - staff all stood about chatting apart from one who was SAT on merchandise chatting.
Avoid this department store - Beales was much more helpful

Bit Disappointed that I was woken up so Abrubtly-I had only been asleep for an hour before a person claiming to be a member of some "sales team"...next time you could at least wake me up with a cup of coffee and breakfast..thank you

Unfortunately we had a meal at your restaurant yesterday 24/4/13 (approx. 1.15pm) and was extremely disappointed. My partner had a ham and cheese omelette and this was supposed to be with side salad - there was salad leaves but no other salad items, no tomato, no cucumber, no onion etc. what you would normally expect to find in a salad. The omelette had burnt remains from the frying pan and was obviously left.
I had warm chicken salad and this was 'just' warm, the spinach leaves were limp and there was only a slight taste of any dressing as advertised. Furthermore, the chicken chunks also had burnt remains from cooking but luckily were cooked but you would normally like to be able to slice the meat to see if they are properly cooked but in this case the whole chicken texture was burnt and you could taste this in the meat. Unfortunately, I have never tasted garlic bread as I did yesterday and this was 'wafer thin' and just tasted like toast with garlic on!!

Sorry about this but I feel you should know of this unpleasant experience as it ruined our day out in Lowestoft and I would not recommend your restaurant without changes to the food offered there.

I would appreciate a response to this review.
