Papa John'S Pizza

Better Ingredients Better Pizza indeed, the delivery today took about 23min but taking that the pizza takes 15-20min to cook and the traffic was a bit rough at the time of delivery it's fair time to deliver, and the pizza was worth the wait.

Also he followed our delivery instructions "Say: PAPA IS IN THE HOUSE when you get here" very well, great, and I repeat, great delivery service good job papa's boys. Plus Respekt

I have just received disgusting service from papa johns in Chelmsford. With the rewards I've collected having spent a substantial amount of money on deliveries, I have accumulated a free pizza. The minimum order for a delivery is £13.99, therefore they would not deliver the pizza to me.

If that's not poor enough service, the manager (Fongh) 's attitude towards me was also disgusting. Comments like 'go ahead and complain' and 'do what you want' like he had absolutely no respect for me as a customer. Also his tone was condescending and he spoke over me continuously. I know I became angry which I should not have done, but other companies/restaurants have always had more respect than that, even if the can't help me. I was left feeling like a piece of dirt that he'd just wiped off his shoe and that is not a way to deal with a customer

Ordered through the website my 'usual' pizza. The order came through incorrectly. When we phoned to point out the error and ask for an exchange, we were told we could pay 50% for the pizza to be made again. Ok, the website may be glitchy, but at the expense of the loss of a customer and a negative review then surely this could just have been remade and the incorrect pizza swapped? No goodwill at the Papa Johns Chelmsford store. Will not be using again.

Customer service was awful. I always order papa johns from a different franchiser and trust it greatly so I thought I could feel the same about this place, but this was not the case. The pizza was average but worst of all was the cinnamon knots. Normally when I order them they are perfect but this time they appeared to have shrunk and there were only about 5 in the box. I called them as soon as I opened the box and the woman on the phone claimed that they always look like this but that was not the case and she refused to do anything about it, acting as if paying £5 for 5 tiny cinnamon knots was normal. She then hung up rudely. We called back and spoke to the manager, to which we were only given a voucher for free cinnamon knots that we were not even able to access. Avoid this shop at all costs, order from Braintree instead.

Arrived stone cold and chewy. The box says 'love your pizza or get another delivered free'. They flatly refused to honour this. Don't know how they get away with such blatently false advertising.

Don't trust these cowboys to honour your order after 30 minutes they called to say there was a delay and may be another hour we accepted but they then said maybe 2 hours they just wanted us to cancel the order

couldnt give any less than 1 star but would have if i could have. ordered pizza for delivery, missed a call from the delivery driver who decided not to leave a voicemail message. as a result they just cancelled the order. phoned the store to find out what was going on and was met with rude staff and even ruder so called managers. service was absolutely disgusting. wouldnt go here again if my life depended on it and definitely will be telling people to avoid this vile excuse of a papa johns. bringing a bad reputation to the papa johns brand name.

The rude disgusting manner of the staff swearing at me?
The racism on the other end of the phone?(being a white christain)
Or perhaps the pizza slice which clearly had teeth marks on the crust?(photo taken)
This place when first opened was a beautiful pizza take out.
Now a "family run" shop has gone clearly down hill. An utter disgrace.
No refund was given only attitude and foul remarks towards my self wife and younger daughter.

Pizza came with 4 bits of tuna when ordered double tuna. When phoned up and complained was told they could only put a little on as it would effect the flavor!?!? Asked for the £1.35 I paid for extra topping refunded and was denied it. I had to have a whole new pizza which I would have to come out and collect myself at 10pm with kids in bed.
Asked to speak to the manager and was refused, then he changed his mind and said HE was the manager. Told him I wanted to speak to the f*cking manager now, and he continued to argue at me I should not use a swear word, claimed he was was definitely the manager now, wouldnt let me speak to anyone else in the store, and said my only option was to drive back there with my pizza for inspection and maybe a new one.
This pizza was free as I had saved up the rewards from buying so many pizzas from them. he used this as an excuse also, saying I already had a free pizza, what more did I want?
I wanted my £1.35 back for a topping that was not put on the pizza!! Hung up.
