Everyone's meal came out together very large portion sizes cooked very well and fresh.

Tonight was our first visit, and my son's and I thoroughly enjoyed the deliscious cod, chips and mushy peas. The restaurant is modern, and very clean, and the staff very attentive, polite and friendly We will definitely visit again 😊

The food at Papas is always first class but there are times when the days catch takes it to another level and tonight was one of those nights. The cod was the best ever beautifully cooked with a very light crispy batter the chips great and the tea piping hot!

Just eaten in the restaurant the fish is amazing I had the cod goujons , this is my 3rd visit from a person who does not normally eat fish who has been totally converted ( hooked lol, ) would definitely recommend this restaurant the staff are very friendly and attentive and a lovely atmosphere in the restaurant and we had the pleasure of meeting gavin who explained about the quality fish used, caught and frozen within 2 hours.

I had a takeaway yesterday evening, I hadn't been before but went there as the Chip shop closest to me was closed. The chips were nice and the staff gave me lots of salt and vinegar which I asked for. The steak pie however was vile! The top part was solid and there was no gravy, it was so dry I left over half of it!! I wasn't impressed and not in any rush to go back!

Got my daughter to pick up some dinner for us tonight.

5 Saveloys and 2 large chips total price £19

Completely shocked that 5 saveloys cost £12 and £7 for 2 large chips. I called to double check as I thought she was joking but nope £19 is the price.

Won't be going back im afraid and such a shame as very local.

What have you done to your chips 👎 always come here even if off route but this is the second time the chips have been awful. Will be trying somewhere else next time.

I visited this restaurant earlier today for takeaway having had it recommended to me. After walking in and being completely ignored I ordered an extortionately priced small chips and a battered sausage, something I thought would be a quick order with a two year old waiting in the car with her dad. When ordering I wasn’t advised of any waiting time and after 15 minutes of being ignored I was handed my food with no apology for the wait. The chips were definitely not worth the wait and tasted bland. Very disappointed and won’t be visiting again.

Been using this place for a couple of years. Really disappointed with the last lot of food I bought. £4.20 for a cheeseburger that looked like someone had sat on it. It didn’t taste much better than it looked and most of it ended up in the bin. Half of the chips were rock hard and my pie was cold. Needless to say that they have lost me as a customer.
