Some of our customers occasionally feel a little intimidated when ordering because if they haven't eaten Thai food before then a little doubt creeps in over whether it will be too hot or spicy. No need to worry, have a chat with one of the serving staff about your requirements and once you have tasted your dish and if you require a little extra spice then why not add a little chilli or other extras yourself. You could add some dried chilli, freshly chopped chilli, some fresh ...garlic, some sour sauce or even a little sugar. This is how Thai people do it in Thailand and by doing so you are tailoring your dish to exactly how you like it. We've had the hottest day for years but unfortunately the summer isn't being all that we hoped for. However, for those sunny days how about a Thai salad? Refreshing, cooling, tastebud tantalising and gorgeous. I had one today for lunch with a little dried chilli sprinkled on (prig pon). It was delicious. Served every day at Papaya Thai

Went to papaya for the first time this evening and food was superb! We really enjoyed attentiveness of staff and food was awesome, loved the shaped vegetables too

We eat here whenever we're in Derby, a wonderful alternative to food court cuisine!! Set lunch time menu, nice surroundings and excellent food.

The food was gorgeous and they have a large variety of vegetarian options, the staff were so welcoming we will definitely be visiting again.

Old Boran premises was a little tired. Food always good though. New premises are nice. Modern interior with traditional Thai decoration - a good balance. Food is good, staff are friendly. Price is reasonable considering you can pay much the same for average food in many a chain restaurant, and it's all freshly made. Looking forward to going back.

I visited Thai Boran for many years. When they moved premises further down Green Lane as Papaya Thai I was hoping the service, food and friendly welcome would still be there. I was not disappointed. The menu is now slightly different but much improved with all my old favourites - if you've had the aromatic sea bass you'll know what I mean. Great food and service, highly recommended.

Excellent food and service last night for my birthday meal. I shared the one of the set menus with two others - every dish was very tasty! Definitely will be returning.

Always have a superb meal and the best service. Sam and Nina were wonderful tonight, making my birthday meal memorable. A Big thank you!

Good service and comfortable surroundings. Food was lovely. Drinks expensive and bump the bill up but you can have water.

We visited this place last night to celebrate one of my friends birthday. The food was nice, though it took three and a half hours altogether to serve a 3 course meal! We came for a 7:30pm booking, didn't came out till 11:00pm. It took ages for the starters to come, the main was even worse!!

We will have to reconsider coming back which is a shame. �

I have been many times , the food was tasty but when we have ordered mild hot I don't think nobody listened ;) our orders were mixed and everyone get not the one we have ordered . We had an unpleasant discussion with the owner as well who should say sorry and bring us the 'mild' not 'extremely hot' dishes we have ordered.
