Papi’s Pickles is a family run social enterprise, providing fresh and tasty South Indian and Sri Lankan food and pickles, while working with unemployed women from these communities who live in the UK. We aim to provide an income, opportunities and support, alongside promoting the rich history of these cuisines and cultures.

Through our sourcing of the best local, seasonal and organic produce for our street food, pop up and catering menus, we are working towards building a fairer food system for all.

Delicious high definition from our lunch with eporta last week, glamorous venue, traditional Tamil lunch. Our menu included edible chaat bowls, Sri Lankan fish bites, coconut biryani and pongal with handmade ginger icecream.

It was a pleasure to cater for the Centre for Feminist Foreign Policy's brilliant event last week.
The topic of the evening 'Exploring a Feminist Approach to Migration in a Brexit World,' touches on several themes central to our mission, and a core message from the panel was that post-Brexit immigration policies must prioritise human rights based and people-centered approaches, while focusing greater attention on the causes of migration and displacement, including conflict prevention and resolution as well as the impacts of climate change.

We care about the narratives surrounding migration a lot, so it’s always a delight to work with Migration Museum, a project shining a light on the many ways the movement of people to and from Britain across the ages has shaped who we are as a nation.
Food is at the heart of migrant culture and our menus reflect the Tamil experience, as we see it. We are looking forward to our next collaboration already!

⚡️Happy #internationalwomxnsday and what better time than today to introduce our new chef Jaya - welcome!
Jaya left Sri Lanka 15 years ago during the conflict and has been working with us for a couple of months, she’s the main earner in her family as her husband is out of work and she lights up our kitchen with her smile and dosa making expertise.
Our mission has always been to provide economic and social opportunities, including a living wage, to women who fled the conflict in Sri Lanka under the most violent circumstances, through delighting Londoners with the freshest Tamil food. Nearly 5 years in, we are humbled and moved on a daily basis by the courage, conviction, determination, resilience, passion, talents and energy of the chefs we work for. ⚡️

Congratulations Anna + Ted on your beautiful wedding, and a huge thank you for choosing us to serve up your wedding deliciousness.

We’re delighted to introduce Papilda, one of our new trainee chefs originally from Sri Lanka who has been working with us for 3 months.

It's been a pleasure to cater for TEDxLondon's event today, themed around a Society Beyond Borders, an idea central to why we were founded.
Our menu included new creations: * Seasonal Fennel + Spring Onion Pakoras * Coconut Milk Biryani... * Chicken Sambar * And, the grand unveiling of Fig + Honey Icecream, served with Seasonal Rhubarb Puree + Carrot Halwa.
