Park Cliffe Camping & Caravan Estate

About Park Cliffe Camping & Caravan Estate

Park Cliffe an award winning family camping, touring and glamping park in the heart of the Lake District, yet only 4 miles from Bowness on Windermere.

Park Cliffe Camping & Caravan Estate Description

Welcome to our Facebook page, we hope you enjoy reading our wall and browsing our photos.

TOURING & CAMPING
Park Cliffe offers pitches for touring and camping. The touring park offers spacious pitches, thoughtfully designed into the natural contours of the park. Most pitches have beautiful views of Moor How, which is easily accessible through the children's playground. We have two camping areas for tents.

The first, Ghyll Side, allows you to reserve your pitch, with electrical hook-up if you so desire. This area is across a minor lane from the main park. These pitches are allocated by size, therefore we need the know the size of your tent in metres, when making a booking.

The second area, Fell Side, offers magnificent views down the lake towards the Langdale Pikes and across to Coniston Old Man from its undulating slopes. On Fell Side you choose your own area to camp.

We have three modern well equipped Holiday Caravans and four Camping Pods available to hire.

OWNING A HOLIDAY HOME
Owning a second home inthe Lake District is not justa privilege for the better off – ifyou know where to look. For just a fraction of the cost of a cottage, Park Cliffe can provide a luxury holiday home in one of the area’s most picturesque locations. Even better, the homes come fully equipped and furnished – so that is another expense you will not have to worry about. You can also say goodbye to the type of maintenance bills associated with brick-built houses, or the need to spend precious leisure time cutting the grass or making repairs. Your hi-spec Park Cliffe caravan holiday home is there for you to enjoy from the moment you arrive, right throughout the park’s long opening season from March until mid-December.

We offer campers wooden duckboards/doormats for use when the weather is a little inclement. These are NOT for placing your BBQ on otherwise they end up like this and are of no use to fellow campers. We have stands you can borrow to put your disposable BBQ's on - you only have to ask! Thank you.

UPDATE 29/8/18 - The A592 will remain open until 8pm on Fri 14th Sept.
Road Closure A592 – 10th to 21st September 2018 Part of the A592 (between Blakeholme and Tower Wood) which is the main access road to the park, will be closed for resurfacing every evening between the hours of 6.30pm to 5am. Unfortunately, this will have an impact on your arrival with us, if you plan to arrive in the evening. Please disregard the travel directions on our website and on your confirmations,... as these are no longer viable.
Cars and Small Campervans: Leave the M6 at junction 36 and follow signs for Kendal (A591). Do not go in to Kendal but follow signs to Windermere and Bowness. From the centre of Bowness, follow the A592 towards Newby Bridge and look out for a turning to the left signposted ‘Ghyll Head’ (about 2.5 miles from the centre of Bowness). Follow this (quite narrow) road to a T-junction and turn right. Park Cliffe is approximately a mile on your left.
Tourers and Motorhomes: You will not be able to access the site after 6.30pm as the diversion is not suitable for large vehicles. Please phone the office on 015395 31344 or email info@parkcliffe.co.uk as soon as possible for advice, and to discuss possible options. Please accept our sincere apologies for any inconvenience, but unfortunately this is completely out of our control.
