My boyfriend proposed to me here during a camping trip which just made the trip even better. Great facilities, nice food, nice staff. Really want to visit again.

On arrival at the campsite we were greeted by a rude and ignorant young girl on reception ,who in my opinion should receive training on customer care .
At 22.45 about 50 yards from our tent a group of loud campers plugged an electric guitar into an amp and proceeded to play songs and after 23.00 they were singing loudly and doing the conga around all the tents, bearing in mind there are lots of parents with small children on this site.
This campsite is becoming more like a stag do in Magaluf .
I have been going to Park foot for years and it is in a beautiful spot and the majority of the staff are great ,but after this last time ,I will never go back. There are lots of better campsites that will appreciate your custom.

clean, cheap, good facilities, friendly staff. On our Saturday night there was a noisy tent right next to us 'Tina Turner greatest hits kareoke' they didn't shut up at 12 when the quiet period is going to start. The park security answered a telephone call straight away and came to talk to them within 5 minutes. For peace and quiet you may still be better picking a less party site however.

A great and welcoming campsite for families. There is very good facilities for both camping and caravanning families. There are clean facilities to wash and maintain your holiday in comfort, but the location is the ideal if you want to be just at the side of a lake. We could walk into the village to get meals any night and there was plenty to do on the campsite with the lake and other activities such as pony trekking and horse riding available.

Was good enough for a place to sleep for the night. We were fortunate enough to get a spot in the overflow fields where it was peaceful. I imagine it would be great for families but as a couple we were after somewhere cheap and quiet and I don't think this is always going to be the case here.

That said what I saw of the facilities was really good and the rates were very good too.

Large and well kept campsite. Clean toilets and shower. Great clubhouse with regular entertainment and onsite shop. Close to lake and 10 minute walk into Pooley Bridge.

Lovely position and friendly welcome at reception. Really good reception staff. But...
You have to be male to empty the chemical toilet as the emptying point is IN the Gents toilet. Also no way to rinse.
Vast site and very noisy at night. Loud chatter after midnight and drunken singing on our part of site. Campers playing car radios with doors open for all to share during evening.
Badly designed showers. 20p has to be put in box outside shower to start 6 minutes of tepid water. Have to either take clothes off then step out of cubicle to put money in or put money in then get undressed with shower running and splashing you. Also there are cctv cameras in the toilet block to record your every movement.
Lots of midges in April.
No recycling of rubbish.
Apart from this, lovely views of lake, great walk into Pooley Bridge, good access the Ullswater way.
Not for those who want a quiet time or are lone females with chemical toilets.

One of our favourite campsites in the area! Facilities are excellent and kept clean, nice short walk to the lake and the nearby pub. Would highly recommend!
