What a fantastic site! It was our first family holiday in a tent and the site had everything we needed. All of the staff were very helpful and the environment was great for the kids with the play ground. Obviously there are some slight problems with children late at night that people have said about in their reviews but this is not the parks fault - it's down to the parents/guardians.

The toilets and showers were always kept so clean and tidy which really surprised me for how busy the park is. And as a bonus, the showers are free and a perfect temperature at all times.

We loved it here that much we asked to stay an extra night :). Home tomorrow :(

We will definitely be back!!

We have just got back from a weekend stay (2 nights) at Parkfoot - we arrived on Friday morning at around 10:30amand check in was quick and easy. We stayed on the Lake View camping field (non-electric) with our 1 year old and our dog - the view out over the lake from the top of this field is amazing and we loved sitting outside our tent looking out at it the field was basically empty when we arrived apart from 1 other tent, but by Friday evening it had filled up a bit more but it was still much quieter than some of the other fields on the site. Even though it got busier later on everyone was happy and the curfew noise rule was adhered to by everyone on our field. The toilet and shower facilities were lovey and clean we ate from the restaurant on Friday night and sat outside as we had our dog with us - the food was lovely and reasonably priced and didn’t take too long to arrive at our table even though there were quite a lot of people eating in the clubhouse. All in all a perfect location for exploring this area of the lakes and we will definitely be back again - thank you for a lovely break away

User

Really enjoyed the site.

It was my partners first time camping ever and the site made it even better for her. We had plot 124 with the lovely stream running just behind the tent.

Facilities are great perfect for what you need staff were amazing and the club house was everything you needed if you didn't fancy the walk to the village however I recommend you do and try the food at sun inn.

Great site parkfoot we will return

User

Just had a great week at Park Foot I’m out caravan for the first time after been heavily recommended by friends. Had a nice quiet serviced plot in the corner, plenty of privacy. Restaurant food was nice as was the beer. Good shop on the site with caravan parts available which also came in handy. Showers nice and warm. We will be definitely back before the end of the season.

User

Just been for another fab week our 3rd time at this site! Stayed at the lake side we love it there, the only down side is that it needs more showers, toilets and maybe a park other then that carnt fault it! Booked for next year before we left

User

Just back from a 5 night visit at park foot. Great value. Great location. Loads to do nearby and easy access to pooley bridge. The takeaway is defiantly worth a visit great pizzas. Toilets were immaculate and clean but were only were one blocks and there should be a bridge over the valley in front of the toilet blocks to give better access from sites on fields opposite toilet block. May e have more individual toilets on the other camp fields.

Only other thing there should be camping on grass and parking on gravel. Not the other way round.

Overall a great site and will be back soon

User

Booked for 1 night Saturday the 23rd june with my girlfriend and enjoyed it that much we ended up staying the Sunday night and also booked to goo back next weekend aswell! Very very clean park especially the toilet and shower blocks ! The onsite shop has everything you need apart from alcohol and is reasonably priced! 5 minute walk to pooly bridge village which is lovely and has several pubs! The only thing that was annoying was the young girl in the restaurant who worked slower then snails pace!!

User

Amazing caravan site, we were on a pitch with 5 caravans on and it was lovely and quiet. The facilities were all amazing, we did pony trekking, walking, Kayaking and just generally chilled out in the beautiful setting. There was fresh bread made to order in the local shop, lots of fresh food to purchase too. There was 2 parks one for under 8’s the other for older which worked well. There was no need for a car when there as the nearest village was 5-10 mins walk along the lake on a path. We have booked to go back in a few weeks.

User

We have just come home from a week's camping yesterday, we did enjoy our trip, the shop is great and the food in the restaurant is lovely , the views are amazing ,but we think it should be more strict on the sound curfew at night , children not being supervised I had to turn off a water tap after a group of children turned them on and ran off laughing, also nearly got ran over by kids on scooters racing each other , no respect children running around other people's tents, no supervision at all

User

Love this site, come here nearly every weekend with our caravan, as its not far from home. Last night there was some trouble, ment to be quiet after 11am, shouting and swearing still going on at 12.30, not great when your with your young daughter. Security came a few times, and gave a warning, woke up this morning with glass bottles around my caravan, that i had to move. Told reception, but got no output back..... But great food, and clean toilets as always

User

Just spent 3 days on this site for the first time with 6 members of my family including kids & we enjoyed every min of it..we tried the restraunt..shop..carry out ect & only fault would be the take away frozen fish..if you are going to sell frozen fish then you need to lower the price or make customers aware that it is frozen..lovely spotlessly clean site & will certainly be back at some point..Pooley Bridge is a lovely village & only a 15 min walk along the lake...couldn't fault the site...Oh & a big shout out to the Baa !!! Baa!!! security boys lol..great guys & so helpful...we will be Baaack

User

Just come home after a 2 night break, 1st day/ night was perfect couldn’t fault it. 2nd night ended up like a tent fest, massively over crowded and extremely noisy at night, definitely think the noise curfew should be stricter I don’t think a sign in the toilet really cuts it! Had a lovely walk to the lake and Pooley bridge so it was great for the dogs! I think if we revisited the area we would maybe look at an alternative site.

User

I would have given this 5* if there was more toilets and showers in the far field ..... 1 toilet block and 2 wash up sinks .... no showers and we were at the other side of the field and was a bit of a walk to the toilets in the other field and always ques for showers definitely need more up this end for such a busy site. Last night I was on my phone having a conversation with my Hubby and I was told to keep the noise down but the tent next to us were shouting and kids were shouting until 1.30am ! I didn’t use the pub and restaurant and food on site as I had a dog and just had our own bbq which was nice. The views are beautiful and a short walk to the lake. The on site shop is very handy and lots for kids to do but you can’t send them to the park on their own which is across road and round corner, as there is much more happening at the other side. But camping you make your own entertainment

User

Great venue for events, I was there for Hot Rod and Hills...toilet blocks struggled a bit as the event was very well attended. Location and accessibility to the lake and Pooley Bridge is great...some pitches have electricity and the general set up is really good, the weather for our 3 days was fantastic so outdoor living was easy. I will be going back

User

very expensive site and it is lovely with lots to do... However.. i feel like the noise curfew shud be stricter....we kept our music low n turned it off when we were supposed to.. yet i was woke up at 6 30 am by children screaming and kicking a ball in the park next to me... they shud have to stick to curfew also...also kids kept running behind our tent and knocking our guide ropes out the ground while face planting the floor...so.i feel children should be more supervised...

User

Great to walk into pooley bridge and fab lake views loved the shop but the takeaway place is a massive rip off and there serve you frozen fish (youngs) and charge you £3.50. But what spoilt it for us the most is the noisy inconsiderate campers! One family to our right were extremely loud! And then a group of 24 lads came and thought it was ok to go on like idiots until past midnight then wake up at 4.45am and make a massive racket!! Not good when you have a 1 year old who’s trying to sleep! Very busy camp site which we don’t like so unfortunately we will not return.

User

Great setting, facilities good enough. Conveniently located next to lake Ullswater & Pooley Bridge. However, very very noisey on our field. Party of about 10-15 persons inc kids up until about 1am drinking, shouting and playing music. Shame really, wardens unable to control it. I’d go back but take ear plugs

User

Hi Just had a two night stay here with 20 friends some in tents some in Motorhomes, albeit that it's a great site by location and they have spent some serious money on puting in fully serviced pitches £££! but unfortunately they should have spent some money on putting in a decent chemical toilet emptying point. Can you believe that you have to go through the gents toilets passing people having a wash, shave, and shower to a pokey little room with no swill pipe just a single toilet to empty your toilet cassette. What if your a single female travelling How do you empty your toilet cassette? It was pathetic! They should build a designated emptying point with better facilities or is it all about the number of pitches? Wake up Park Foot.

User

Where do I start,,, have used Park Foot for 15 years plus and have seen the bad times (security on doors,, flashing lights and disco balls etc) so have used alternative sites but decided to give it another visit May bank holiday and what a transformation people congregating with their love of the outdoors but thought it a bit odd that we had to pay for two nights but I thought ok as people want electric hook up’s so fair enough!!! This is where it all goes wrong after last weeks trip to Wales I was rather weary after a six hour drive in adverse conditions and feeling cabin fever/fatigue we decided to pull in for an overnight stay (guess what’s coming) Yep computer says no you have pay for two nights at over £50!!! Have you employed a new imbecile general manager??? You may have to remind him that the caravan/camping world caters for the traveller, lover of the outdoors, the free spirit, the families on limited budget... well done you’ve certainly stuck a middle finger up to us!!! On a final note I hope people reading this post will boycott the site as greed is a very ugly characteristic and hope this doesn’t set a president for other sites in this beautiful area!!!
