Simple campsite with all that's needed. Great access to monsal trail.

Excellent campsite. Nice and chilled as no children allowed. Showers and toilets adequate. Very welcoming and friendly owners, pete and Maureen. Will certainly visit again.

A great simple campsite run by friendly people

A nice quiet no-frills campsite with adequate toilets/showers.

The site, located very close to Monsal Head, is fairly small and is on a slight slope. The toilets/showers are basic but functional and always immaculately clean with hot water on tap...though not for pot washing.

The showers are coin operated and take 20p and (old) £1 coins giving you about 90 seconds for 20p.

The pot washing facilities are not great though...an outside stone sink with only cold water available.

The owners are very friendly and not fussy where you pitch.

Will definitely use this site again as a basecamp for exploring as the local bus service stops at Monsal Head Hotel and runs from Castleton to Bakewell.
