Can we encourage patients with Dementia, their family and carers to complete this?
Teenagers and "fresher" students going to university for the first time are advised to have a vaccination to prevent meningitis and septicaemia, which can be deadly.
MEN ACWY is a free vaccine, which is available to the following groups:
1) If you are attending university/further education for the first time OR... 2) you are aged 19 years on 31 August 2019
AND must be under 25 years at the time of vaccination
Patients aged 14 -18 years are also eligible for this vaccine if they have missed the routine on given at school.

A free App called ‘Dementia Emergency’, developed by Dignity in Dementia and Cumbria Police. The app gives advice on how to respond to a variety of dementia emergency scenarios. This is useful for health care professionals as well as friends and family. The app can be downloaded free from Apple and Android stores.
