Paul: First ride out for a while today. I gave the bike a good check over beforehand. Had to pump up the rear shock as the recommended sag had definitely increased. Could be due to an increase in rider weight or loss of pressure from the shock. I’m going for the latter!!!

We are back in the office today (27th) and Friday (29th) but the builders in the adjoining unit have managed to cut our phones off!! Working to get them back up as soon as possible so apologies if you are trying to ring us or expecting a call. We still have email.

Paul: Great day for a ride. Chalked up 20.2 miles along the canal to Asda Radcliffe then across Route 6 to Prestwich and back along the Irwell. First Strava trophies for a while.

Wow ... ordered my bike late Thursday night and it arrived this morning. Bike description was exact and the help I received regarding frame size was precise and very helpful with a quick reply (out of usual working hours too) I absolutely love my bike to pieces ... so much so I've even named her :) thank you guys I would definately recommend you guys to family and friends. Problem with my sons trike he got for Christmas, parkers are arranging delivery of a brand new one on Thursday, so have a very happy 9 year old....well done Parkers

Ordered a Cuda Dirt Squirt 18 for my sons 6th birthday.

Was a bit worried as I'd left it quite late, but ordered Thursday morning, was dispatched the same day and arrived safely the next day.

Myself and my wife called there on Tuesday this week to look at electric bikes. Spoke with a guy called Andy who was sooooo helpful. He got bikes out for us and built one up and let us try it out on their car park. He spent over one and a half hours with us and I felt he would have let us walk away if we wanted to.



As it was we bought two electric bikes off him because of his enthusiasm and helpfulness and the fact that the bikes were just so well-made and did exactly what they were supposed to do.

I recently bought a bike from Parkers of Bolton - it was delivered exactly when I wanted it (I just emailed customer services to ask if i could change the date and they obliged). Then, whilst constructing the bike I had a question and called the helpline - I was told I would get a call back when the guy that could help got back from lunch. I rolled my eyes accordingly expecting to have to call back in a couple of hours time. Then twenty mins later received the call from a very jolly sounding man who helped me over the phone. Great customer service. I couldn't fault this company if I tried.

I ordered a Viking Valencia from Parker's. The price was great, the bike is perfect for me and the delivery was fast.

We found upon putting the bike together that there was a fault with the front brakes (definitely during manufacturing) and the gentleman at Parker's were extremely helpful and responded quickly to my cries for help. They are sending a replacement part out without charge, as the problem could not be fixed.

They were kind, friendly and quick to respond- and weren't patronising (which I appreciated as a newcomer to the world of bikes) -when providing help.

Bought bike from eBay site and everything was spot on until after a year there was an issue with the frame .

Got in touch with parkers and after a few e-mails and phone calls sent the bike back to them at no expense to me .they sent the bike back to Raleigh and we were offered a replacement bike up to the purchase price of the original .Excellent service and aftercare.

After being let down with my order of a bike from a different shop, I searched the internet for another stockist and came across parkers of bolton. I phoned and explained that I needed a bike quickly as my daughters birthday was fast approaching. The man I spoke to couldnt have been more helpful, I placed my order Thursday evening and he said it would be shipped the following day. The bike arrived on Saturday! In plenty of time for my daughters birthday. I couldnt have asked for better service!!! Id recommend Parkers of Bolton to anyone and wont hesitate in ordering from them again :)

Absolutely brilliant! Great experience first time round with purchase of folding bike for daughter at uni. So kind and helpful with choosing a replacement when it was stolen. Very accessible via both telephone and email and they even held delivery for when she was back at uni. I was very shocked to see a bad review when I came to this page as we have had two really outstanding purchase experiences with them and will always shop with them in future.

Mucked up our first order, paid for and never arrived (=child without a bday present). Then told it actually wasn’t in stock so had to wait for a refund. Had to purchase alternative bike, stabilisers sent didn’t fit so had to pay extra for a part with my local bike fitters. Poor customer service and poor quality product. Break leaver was snapped inside casing and back breaks keep sticking. Will buy local next time.

I purchased Klean Kanteen water flask from this company. After approximately 1-2 months the paint started rubbing off the item Having spent approximately £16 on the water bottle it was described as a premium product. It is clear that the item is faulty and should not be showing this level of wear after a month of very light wear [mainly at my desk]. I contacted the company and I was informed that it is normal for paint to be coming off the product. I was also informed that my water bottle is not covered by the warranty therefore nothing can be done!! I have never really come across such poor customer service in a while. I have purchased numerous products from this company in the past however I will definitely not in future. Very disappointed!!

Disgusting!!!!! Ordered a bike for my sons 3rd birthday, it arrived quickly but when I got it out to build it one of the brake levers where broke, the paintwork was scratched & a couple of tie wraps missing for the number plate on the front. Phoned up to complain & they said dismantle it & send it back ( just after I'd built it! ) & we will send you a new one. Thanks for ruining my sons birthday you incompetent *#@*$!!!!!!

Bought 2 Whitby handwarmers and neither of them work! Both are now full of lighter fluid and I have been advised to remove the lighter fluid and send them back via Royal Mail! No idea how to get the fluid out

Bad customer service! Ordered a bike, when it arrived the gears did not work. Had to keep contacting them to arrange collection, then once it was collected no one bothered to contact me to advise whether they could replace it /fix it. I had to call them and they told me they would refund the money! Well it took them a week to refund it and when I chased the lady told me I was in a 'queue' for it to be refunded! Absolutely no urgency or professionalism what so ever!

Avoid this retailer! I ordered a Squire Eiger Shackle lock which was sent in a flimsy jiffy bag! When it was posted through my letter box the lock came out of the bag and was damaged. I contacted them twice before someone replied and advised me to return the lock. I asked for confirmation that the return postage cost would be refunded and received no reply. Following another email, I eventually received an email confirming it would be refunded. The refund appeared on my credit card today but did not include the postage cost (£2.90). I queried this and Parkers apologised saying their system would only allow them to refund what I originally paid; they sent the postage refund via PayPal which I've just received and it's only for £2.71. I despair!

Absolutely awful. I ordered a bike for my sons birthday and when we went to build it night before his birthday all the paint work was chipped. They picked the bike up 2 days later and they said the efund will be issued as soon as yodal picked it up. A week later still no refund I just rang them and the refund button as the man said was not pressed. I was told they are not allowed to check the bikes before they sell them as that means they will have to open the box and it will make them not new.. (I'd prefer a not new bike if it means it goes through quality control) my poor son has to wait another week for his birthday present and ll I had was sorry.. they are not a good company don't care how it effects people on our side or even offer discount or anything out of good will.

AWFUL COMPANY

I ordered a leather man two weeks ago for a Birthday present, with a two day delivery (in time for the Birthday boy). It didn't turn up. On day three I called to chase and was told it wasn't in stock so they had ordered it from elsewhere and it had been sent that day, registered delivery so would be with me the next day. Great I said to the non caring customer service lady.

Two days later it still was't here. I called again, again I got a lady who didn't seem to care and said it should be with me the following day. I also sent an email to back my question up.

It's day 14 now. I haven't received my leatherman or an email or a phone call telling me where my PAID for Leatherman is.

I've just called Parkers of Bolton and apparently they forgot to tell me that they don't actually have it and had lied about it being sent by registered delivery.



I asked the non caring customer service if they ever bothered to contact their customers to inform them if things aren't in stock, or are going to take longer than planned or to be honest, contact their customers in any shape, way or form if the product they buy is late or not going to be with them. The response I got was 'I don't know' and then she said 'bye'. That's it, 14 days, no contact and a 'I don't know, bye'. I deal with clients and customers on a daily basis, I'd be out of a job if I treated anyone like this.

Disgraceful company who should email or call their customers with an update if there is a problem with the order they have placed AND PAID for.

14 days instead or two days, only to be told you're not sending it.

Will never buy off this company again

I've never written a review for any company before, I don't have the time but I warn you not to buy off them. I was actually lied to and told it was in the post.
