HEAD GREENKEEPER'S REPORT...
The first week back into the new year gave us the unseasonable opportunity to deploy mowing equipment across all areas of the golf course to give the place a tidy and a great aesthetic boost. The higher than average temperatures also facilitated the foliar applications of various tonics to tee's, fairways, approaches and greens for plant health and protection.
The project work at the 3rd (Green Drainage and bunker reconstruction) has ended for th...e time being with the completion of the drainage in the bunkers. We will now wait for the turf to 'knit' to allow us to form nice, crisp edges on the new bunkers, insert a geotextile membrane, then fill with sand. This will be completed closer to the start of the golf season.
Project focus has now switched to the 9th where we established a collapsed drain causing us severe problems at the front of the green. As a result of this we have now installed a comprehensive primary piped system which will see a huge improvement in both plant health and year round performance of this troublesome green. As a result of this arising a new ladies tee is currently under construction at the 10th with the sub grade being completed on Thursday and we are hopeful of getting the rootzone on to the tee top and start the 'truing up' today. This drainage system will also improve the previously wet carry on the 10th. Work here this week has seen us link this system into the mains drainage which was installed around the 17th green complex at the start of last year. Hopefully we will start the bunker reconstruction on the greenside bunkers next week and follow on down the fairway.
Both drainage systems at the 3rd and 9th will be complemented by secondary drainage (sand slits) when ground conditions are optimum.
Elsewhere around the course we have been busy tidying and re-mulching around all lone standing trees, this exercise has been combined with some pruning and dead-wooding of some trees at various areas of the golf course. Path edging has also been on going as well as the start of the course furniture refurbishment.

Really enjoyed my round. Course was in good condition even though been raining heavily. As always a round of golf is better in good company and if playing ok and yesterday was both. 5 �

My first visit the food was delicious and staff. Friendly and efficient set in delightful surroundings will definitely return

I take my grandson to the mini golf, he loves it. Afterwards take him to the clubhouse for something to eat, food is nice.

Great course to play some nice hidden traps really enjoyed every visit

Didn't know this was here & what a find.

Had a fab time on the mini golf with my 7 yr old niece. Really reasonably priced for 18 holes and the water features were great adding a bit of extra fun to the round. Will definitely be back

Course and greens were in great conditions , pity about the weather , but had a good day!

A fantastic course in amazing condition, the ground staff must work very hard and the greens are the best ive played on all year.

course in fine fettle today, compliments to the green staff course in very good condition and the greens where nice to putt on, also the members who played this morning before the rabbits played (no pitch marks on the greens). a course I would like to come back and play in the dry, after todays rain and wind. oh and thanks to Member Ian for the laugh.

Went with the family .Not signposted very well but when we did find it we all enjoyed our selves and very affordable. Will go back kills a hour.

Me and my family have been here a lot of times over the years we think it's great fun. The only thing i would say needs doing is a re-laying of the green as it's abit worn. Other than that it's a great day out for all the family.

I had my first ever golf lesson here yesterday. Craig put me at ease and was a very good teacher. I loved it and will definitely come back.

Had a great day with my girlfriend on the mini golf course. My only niggle is on some of the holes the green is abit worn/bumpy and made some shots more difficult near the holes. Other than that great fun!

Just a small thing, this was my first time on the course and found it a bit difficult to find the next tee, but other than that good course

Im not sure if id reccomend this place or not knowing that one of the greenkeepers likes young girls & with it having a mini golf & being the kids school holidays i would be worried, well not me personally as im not 14 but if a was under the age of 16 i wouldnt want to go & be perved on by a man of nearly 30, i hope i have wrote this reveiw JUST IN time before theres another incident where the police have to be involved & no i am not joKING!

Great afternoon out. Only complaint is the crazy golf needs a bit of maintenance, holes on nearly every hole !

A ok course, flat with nothing special, seniors in front hacking up the course made it a long day.

Very good condition and greens the best i played this year

Used the driving range a coupe of days ago. ... I wouldn't advise it as I broke my driver on a over head restriction anfmd have been told no credit will be made for my driver.... what a joke play off 11 play twice a week so it wasn't my fault watch out people
