Worked at Joels and with Joel a few times now and I can't recommend enough!



Friendly, professional and safe environment for models.

Joel is a professional but he is also friendly and helpful.

The place is always clean, loads of places to shoot with drinks available throughout.

I've also stayed there and was treated wonderfully by the family.

I worked with Joel for the 1st time today at his studio, We had talked previously of what I wanted to do, and Joel was happy to help, I arrived and Joel had all the lighting, backdrops set up ready, He talked me through what we needed to do to make my shot work. Once we had the lighting correct, Joel put his costume on and set about with his posing, jumping and facial expressions, to go with what we were after, Joel was a real pleasure to work with, not only is he a great model /actor, he is also a great teacher, and very patient with any amateur photographers, nothing is to much trouble, I would recommend Joel 100% to all photographers & models, if you want someone who will give his all in every shot, easy to work with, well mannered, patient and knowledgeable, This is your man, I cant wait to work with Joel again, Thanks for all your help, and a great shoot, till next time Ricky

What a great place to shoot. I had two days booked on my first model days here.. The grounds are amazing and you are spoilt for choice. Joel was an amazing host and made you feel very welcome and n nothing was too much trouble.. Would definitely recommend shooting here and can't wait to go back again. Thank you Joel.

So I started off the new year at this gorgeous studio and had a couple of hours booked to shoot with Joel himself before the other photographers started to arrive for my studio day.



What a beautiful soul! Not only is Joel an incredible model but he is also an amazing photographer! He is easy going, talkative, has high intelligence and just a pleasure to be around!



I loved the studio, I loved Joel and I loved the other photographers that we had organised to shoot with on the day! So impressed and happy with the results! Everything was organised! Joel allowed me an hour to arrive early to apply my makeup and saved me from boredom whilst applying! Let me put my own tunes on although I don’t have the best taste in music...



I had a lovely day and Joel made me feel so very welcome at all times! Thank you so so much and I am looking forward to shooting here again in a couple of months for our next one!

I've worked at Joel's studio a handful of times, it's an amazing place to be. Joel and his family have put alot of effort into making this studio incredible and the price to hire out is a bargin!!

I shot with Joel last month at his studio and I am in love with 2 of the images from the set straight away! WOW :) Thank you Joel. He is very good with his lighting skills and photography in general, I am impressed.

I know that each time I go to Joel's I will have a most enjoyable shoot.



He makes every effort to produce images that are both striking and

good to shoot.



He is amenable to lighting suggestions but seems to favour shady artistic

creations. This type of set up is very atmospheric and produces

splendid results.



The locations that his farm and buildings provide are wonderful, and of course the lake is a super bonus.



Currently I have 3 shoots booked at the studio and am looking forward to them .

I have worked at Joel Hicks Photographic on many occasions before now - it's probably one of the photographic venue's that I have shot at the most because in terms of versatile set options, you literally have it all right in front of you with a leading expanse of privately secure and picturesque location to utilise as well as a number of indoor shooting facilities for literally every type of look/style. This variation in facility options also means that you have guaranteed backup should the British weather take a catastrophic turn whereas on a shoot out on public location somewhere you are A) forever looking over your shoulder for spectators, and B) taking a risk when the weather can be so changeable if all you had planned was outside. Being a model who is booked for location style work a lot - I can wholeheartedly recommend this place to models and photographers likewise... each time I have shot here the results have been different, you get transformations all year round on the grounds and it's so handy being able to go from the industrial "grunge" look/environment to the statuesque art in the lake setting a few minutes apart.



Joel has made considerable efforts to make the venue a high quality shooting experience for those who book in - since my first visits he has routinely upgraded the studio, adding props/lighting systems and inventive backdrops... even building a whole new log cabin with stunning natural light that has opened up a whole mass of new shooting options. You name your favourite shoot style: fine art nude, fashion, boudoir, aerial/acrobatics, low-key, high-key, fitness, landscape... this venue caters for all.



As a model you are treat very well when residing for a studio day: there is accommodation onsite which makes life so much easier. It's a feature that many places don't take into account if a model is coming from further afield but it reduces the morning rush/stress of having to transport lots of luggage to the studio on the day of a shoot and the hospitality models receive is sublime. I have shot for multiple days in a row and as such, I am able to bring more things to offer photographers look variation and I can operate a relatively relaxed studio day/event and even manage to get my daily workout done before hand on the premises'!

I have used the studio and facilities at Joel Hicks Photographic many times. It has always been an amazing place to shoot, the possibilities are endless and with the new investment that Joel has put into the studio, it can accommodate any style of shoot. Joel is always on hand for advice and help with set ups but he is also happy to leave you to get on with your photography. The location is easy to get to, with close proximity to the M1, M6 and M69 but set in 13 acres of private land with a lake that are just stunning bonus features that photographers and models can utilise.

I have shot at Joel's Many times, as both Model & Photographer. I can not praise the studio and Joel himself highly enough! Recommended to any photographer whether you've never shot in a studio before to those who have been doing it for years, Joel is on hand to help out & always a pleasure to be in the company of!



Not only does Joel have the studio space which is equipped with great backgrounds and high tech lighting, he has also recently added a beautiful woodern cabin with amazing natural light & not forgetting the 13 Acres of land with stunning lake & pier for outstanding Images!



5* isn't enough!

I have been shooting at Joel's for almost 3 years now, and I have to say it still remains as one of my top favourite places to shoot. There is so much on the premises to use, and so creative ideas never dry up. Even now I can come up with umpteen different ideas on my studio days. What also helps is that Joel puts so much hard work and time into changing up the studio by bringing in new props/backdrops. What makes this place unique is that you have the choice between using the studio or the outdoor areas which are private, and so there is no need to worry about offending members of the public when It comes to shooting art nude. Not only is there the ever popular and most beautiful lake area to shoot in or around, but it provides so much more than that. I have had some amazing images captured in the workshop, stables and on some of the machinery. Also, the new summer house is stunning, making it perfect to shoot boudior on the 4 poster bed or a fitness shoot using the gym equipment available.

I had the opportunity to work with Joel this week and i cannot recommend him enough. From the moment i arrived i felt welcome and comfortable. He Immidiately made sure i was comfortable with what we were going to produce and the results are incredible to say the least.

I cannot wait to return for my studio day in 2018!

I had my first studio day here yesterday and I absolutely loved every second of it! Yesterday I shot in the studio, near the caravans, in the lake and on the jetty. It was so beautiful and I was really grateful for Joel's help in the lake as it was my first time going in there and I was a little nervous.

Joel is a true gentleman and will make you feel welcome and looked after. He is easy to have a chat with and it was great to shoot with him as well.



I would highly recommend this amazing place to photographers and models and I can't wait to go back!

I had my first studio day at JHP last weekend and I can't recommend it enough!

A fabulous location and studio, it really is a cut above the rest!



I stayed over the night before and The accommodation and facilities here for models are fantastic. Joel is a great host, he's so friendly, easy to get on with and really looked after me during my visit.



I highly recommended JHP and I can't wait to visit here again next year!

Have shot at JHP a few times now and always thoroughly impressed with this gem of a studio. The studio itself is fully equipped with plenty of props, backdrops and refreshments. Furthermore, there is a fabulous outdoor private location with so many endless opportunities to shoot. Joel is very welcoming and ensures you are comfortable thoroughly the day. Highly recommended and can't wait to shoot here again on my next studio day.

Had an absolutely brilliant day shooting with Joel at his studio. Pre coms were second to none, was a total gent from start to finish and we got a load of awesome shots.
