Flu Vaccinations
We are now approaching the Flu Vaccination Season and the details of our Flu Clinics are below. Please telephone 01243 782819 to book your vaccination. This year, those aged 65 years and older will receive a different vaccine to those aged 64 years and below. This is because there are two different vaccines available, one which offers more protection to the older age group and the other which offers more protection to the younger group. If you are aged 64... and your birthday is between September and November, please inform the Receptionist as you book so she can ensure you are booked into the correct clinic.
Wednesday 12 September - Aged 64 years and Under Friday 21 September - Aged 65 years and Over Saturday 22 September - Both age groups Saturday 20 October - Both age groups

We have been made aware of a marketing campaign in the local area, by a company called Pharmacy2U, in which they include the Parklands Surgery name. Please do not see this as our endorsement of the service they are offering; this leaflet was produced without our knowledge and we did not approve the use of our name in this way.

We are experiencing telephone problems this morning with only a limited number of calls getting through. If your call is not urgent, please leave it until later in the day. If it is urgent, please keep trying and you will eventually get through. The telephone engineers are working to resolve the issue.

Incompetent and patronising. I've just walked out of parklands surgery, i had an appointment at 9.10 this morning so i checked in and enquired about online prescription service, i was told i already had an account and i must have forgotten my password. I told her i had never registered with the service, well you are registered and probably forgot !!!!!! So she went to change my password to a new one and only then realised that actually she was about to change another woman's password, apparently there is more than one Samantha at that surgery????????? So my appointment was actually yesterday morning. Im absolutely fuming, I've recently had a hip replacement so walking there is hard for me. Highly dangerous mistakes could of been made and confidential information shared. How can this happen ????? Your mistake not mine. I wonder how many missed appointments are caused through incompetent receptionists ?????
