Parkside Hotel

Visited for Sunday lunch. Excellent meal with local ales available.

Small privately owned hotel between Cleator Moor and Frizington. Nice menu although we just had drinks. Very attentive bar tender who kept checking we were ok for drinks and food.

Bar has a nice ambience.

We reached there around 2am and our host Dan was waiting for us to welcome. Rooms were sorted instantly and we had a very relaxing sleep. Our breakfast was done fresh and there were enough options for vegetarians.

Fantastic. Food our of this world. Staff exceptionally friendly. More than happy to go over an above for the customer. Cocktail offer and kids eat free offer are both fab. Cocktails are all properly hand made from fresh as is the food. Specials board changes regularly. Staff are very good with children too.

Would definitely stay here again if I'm in the area. Staying over for the coast2coast event, staff where extremely welcoming and helpful also providing an extremely early breakfast for the cyclists. Food was also really tasty and good value for money

Good drinks and service

They​ couldn't have done any more for us.

Had a meal took an hour and 20 mins to come, I ordered a well done steak and when it came it was rare, and I had to wait another 20 minutes for it to come back. The steak was nice but a bit salty. After that I got a chocolate brownie which was nice.

Had Sunday Lunch yesterday and was great home cooked real Roast Dinner. Real Yorkshires. Thick cuts of quality meat. Nice fresh veg. No frozen peas! (No place on a Sunday Dinner) nice decor, atmosphere and service. Only negative was the puddings as they were uninspired. Had the passion fruit cheesecake and was like a greens' packet mix with passionfruit seeds on the top. Mains great dessert not so much.
