We were a party of 30 family members celebrating an early Christmas today and all the food was fab! The friendly service also added to the smooth running of the lunch. The soup for starters was lovely and the Christmas lunch was also . I think the BYO is fab and given we are a large family this kept the cosy down. Im just sad we don't have something similar nearby us here in Surrey.

User

We always have a wonderful meal here live the food it's amazing and the staff are friendly and efficient! It's a little bit of France in sidcup!

User

Very pleasant experience, good food, staff very attentive. Good value for money, can't wait to go back and try another dish

User

This is the 2nd time I’ve been here and I forgot just how AMAZING the food is.

From the outside it doesn’t look anything special but the food they serve us is wonderful. I had the Scallops to start which were withbacon and a delicious sauce, followed by King Prawns in a bitter sauce, served with veg & potatoes. The whole meal was excellent.

User

The restaurant had been recommended to us before we went but we didn't know what to expect. Well, we couldn't recommend it more ourselves now!! The young lady who waited on us was very attentive, the food was excellent, the decor was delightful. We thoroughly enjoyed the evening!

User

Super bistro excellent food and plenty of it very good value for money and very very good service from the owners son (I think) - also a very pleasant ambience - I can heartily recommend it !!!!!!!!

User

I have to correct my previous post yesterday with humility my excellant steak was as my partner pointed out a FILLET!! Not a sirloin! I was aware of that but my mind on the keyboard did not intereact! SO I can say our three large (est ever) fillets were the best! looking forward to my next visit although at 250 miles from home it is a few months distant. Strongly recommend

User

I have eaten at Chez Pascal mainly for dinner, eating from the evening menu. I have enjoyed the ambiance and the food every time!

The owners are so accommodating, towards you and your family, it's hard not to return again. I would recommend to anyone

User

Highly recommend. Really lovely little find. Great service, staff can’t do enough, so friendly and welcoming. Food was gorgeous... a real taste of France. We def will be coming back and bringing friends.

User

Had breakfast here on Sunday, fantastic food, brilliant friendly service, look forward to visiting again when we are in the area. Recommended by my uncle whose sister in law lives up the road, so pleased he did, it set us up for the day & we wouldn't hesitate to return ! Amazing little gem & a great find! Well done Chez Pascal, we will be back !!

User

Had a great lunch with some Sidcup Golf Club ladies celebrating the end of Jo's captaincy. I enjoyed Garlic prawns, steak Diane and chocolate fondue cake, which were delicious. Love the relaxed bring your own alcohol rule. Great ambience for a small place.

User

Great food and service and amazing prices! I love seafood pasta and theirs is one of the best I have tasted. Love the cosiness of the place would be great for small party or wedding reception

User

Fab night at chez pascal; great atmosphere, excellent service and wow the food was top notch cooked to perfection! My seabass was the best and my partners fillet steak was just a good. Well done to the team as chez pascal, we had a great evening. Thank you! We will be back again soon. 😀

User

Amazing food, not many places like this. I will definitely come back again. The dishes are atypical and cooked to perfection. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They don’t have a license to sell alcohol which is a plus because you can bring your own at no extra charge. Loved everything.

User

A first time for us at Chez Pascals...a lovely little place, the food was excellent...I had the scallops to start, fillet steak then cheese board - was completely full when we left which is always a good sign - will definitely be returning 👍🏻

User

Very lovely meal so good with children and letting them choose what they want to eat, if you have children go early, staff so friendly polite and can't do enough for you

User

Lovely food, cosy atmosphere & very friendly but please don't clear away plates till everyone has finished eating this is very poor etiquette and made one of our party feel very uncomfortable as she is a slow eater. Also glasses whipped away before we were finished with them including a glass belonging to one of our party.

Was part of a party of 14 on Saturday night.

We were in the side room, which is on the small side with toilet opening directly on to it.

The menu is exciting with a wide choice of varied recipes, I'm a steak lover and sadly they only had one on the menu and one on the specials, and there are no prices showing, which if you have a budget may be a concern.

I chose the scallop special starter and steak main. Considering the size of our party they all came out within 5 mins of each other.

My scallops were on the pale side and Luke warm, not golden brown as I expected, but not to slow the party down I ate them.

BIG MISTAKE!

The steak was good, well cooked and tasty. Dessert of banana cheesecake not so good as bananas will go brown and mushy.

The BYO is a novelty but can't help thinking of the revenue they are losing by not having a license.

We left happy and full, reasonably priced at £36 a head.

Then the under cooked scallops had their revenge. I was up all night with food poisoning, without too much detail, the full works.

I have lost my whole Sunday in bed with constant stomach cramps and may not be in to work tomorrow as a result.

This is so unfortunate for this negative outcome as we had a lovely night.

I understand seafood can be dodgy but an acclaimed chef should be aware of these consequences.

I look forward to a reply and explanation of why this occurred.

Had poached egg on toast which cost £3.75. Consisted of two eggs and 2 slices of toast. Packet, pre-sliced bread for the toast. The eggs were poached well but had a strong taste of vinegar. I’m thinking they used vinegar in the water to poach. I had a San Pelligrino lemon drink which cost £2. Service was quick and I have no complaints except the vinegar taste.
