i was in the passage house inn last night beer was very good..food very good .staff very friendly.praises all round

We went for carvery Easter Sunday with the family they put on an easter egg hunt for the kids which was great and a bouncy castle and kids eat free during Easter . The food was amazing plenty of selection fresh veg that was hot crispy roast potatoes good cuts of meat . Very friendly organised staff . Excellent service will definatly go again. perfect spot right by the river

The steak and otter pie really is amazing, and so is the carvery. This is a gorgeous pub with great food in a stunning setting on the estuary.

Pit stopped in for lunch on a very long journey - Amazing food, would thoroughly recommend

Passage house hotel is a lovely place to stay, have stayed there three times now and eaten in the restaurant , couldn't fault it , the staff friendly and helpful facilities good .

Me and my husband stayed at the hotel next door. So we used the pub quite a bit. We both found the food great. Was not rushed staff were very pleasant and helpful. Feam nights value for money.

Lunch menu is very good but the dessert was even better, fabulous. Baked cheesecake with berries, served with clotted cream. It was superb, can definitely recommend.

Just had 3 days at this place, the best break we have ever had, food excellent, staff excellent, good beer, can't wait to go back later in the year. Thank you all

Had a lovely Mother’s Day meal with 15 of us attending which we also remembering my our Dad/Husband who always took us all here for a meal last Christmas 2016 for his birthday my birthday and my daughters birthday as we where December babies. So in memory of my father who recently passed away we all decided to carry out his wishes and continue the family tradition and have a meal the staff was so attentive service was amazing couldn’t fault the food. Manager Joe Hibberd absolutely amazing you should be proud of the staff absolutely fantastic.

Very nice pub/inn with good selection on the menu. Food very tasty. A place we always go to for lunch with family and friends. Staff very friendly too and the views of the river make it special 😋

Very good but no steak and ale pie on Pie Night!

Very busy and hadn't booked, but the friendly staff were able to find a table for five with no fuss. As usual, the Carvery was very good, with a varied selection of vegetables.

The staff were very helpful, and service very good and the food very very good, we stopped in for a snack, both ordering a sandwich to which I added a portion of chips, which to be honest even though between two was more than enough, as the sandwich came with salad coleslaw and crisps, very happy with it

My first time here, even though lived in Devon, 30years,wnt with family, carvery was lush apart from ran out of veg, potatoes and Yorkshire pudding s, they had served you the meat but had to wait about,, 5to 10mins till things came out, long wait at bar, only 1 member of staff on, felt sorry for him, he did say that he wished Sundays it would close because they never have enough staff on, same as floor staff very polite even though run off feet, outside lovely apart from nearly every table still had not been cleared we were there 3hrs and those tables still full, I would go back, but come on give the staff extra staff because you are seriously, destroying a good place, and your carvery is one of the best I've ever had.

Lovely old building, very happy friendly staff and really nice food and wine. What more could,one ask for. It has wifi but who cares. The views when it's light are lovely over the estuary.

Comfortable and very acceptable Best Western hotel that sits at the side of a lovely river, very close to Dartmoor and just off the A38. Inexpensive, friendly staff, interesting pub food. Nothing extra special but a very good all round hotel with much to offer. Keep an eye out for some great rates over the summer. Happyto stay any time!

Took oven 1 hour to get starters and drinks. It wasn't full but staffing was short

Food isn't as good as it used to be. We had the cod! Although a huge piece of fish, it was quite greasy. We did finish it as we were famished.
