I am doing a Corrective Exercises Specialist Course now. It is by far the most intense course since my Physio Uni, loving it. The science behind muscle imbalannces is absolutely fascinating, short example: muscles out of alignment → tissue overload and disfuction → decreased neuromuscular control and trauma → initiation of cumulative injury cycle → decreased pefrormance, myofascial adhesions, injury. Corrective Exercise Continuum is to: 1. Identify the problem (integrated ass...esment) 2. Solve the problem (corrective program design) 3. Implement the solution (exercise technique) A safe program is designed especially for each individual person. Corrective exercises can: - reduce pain - enhance performance - prevent injuries - help detect physical weaknesses and imbalances - improve strength and flexibility - improve posture - improve daily living activities and reduce stress. I am going back to my books now...

Another skill learned to make sure all my clients get what they need. Deep Tissue Massage is perfect for chronic muscle pain and restrictions, breaking up scar tissue, improving flexibility and suppleness. Great for stress relief - reducing stress hormones levels, increasing endorphins (neurotransmitters produced to help relieve pain and improve mood) levels. Deep Tissue Massage aims to improve muscle function, promotes change in the actual structure of the body in the long ...run by working on the muscle layers on the inside and relieving them from "knots" and adhesions. It can be very effective in sports-related injuries and in boosting muscle recovery. I absolutely love to receive Deep Tissue Massage but keep in mind it can be intense...

To keep things real: Second time in many years of working as massage therapist I did not show up for treatment. It was my fault. I did not put clients' name when taking a booking, later on I booked another client thinking that not finished booking in my diary was mistake. I apologised and dealt with the whole situation the best I could.

Need to get in habit of asking for review's as neglected that for very long time.

MASSAGE THERAPY, PERSONAL GROWTH AND PAIN.
Personal growth can heal the body when everything else fails and often pain is the catalyst for personal growth. Massage Therapy can be a part of that process by helping to get you out of that pain-stress vicious circle. Massage Therapy can significantly improve chronic pain in which over-active alarm system needs calming down and soothing. It is a powerful tool which can change sens of yourself by reminding you what it feels like... to be in your own skin.
Massage Therapy can be a part of personal growth strategy as well as ending toxic relationship, stopping smoking or starting exercise routine.
How do you think is best to "do" personal gorwth or deal with pain? Leave a comment to get a chance for Free Massage Therapy session with me - I'll pick best in my opinion answer :) Do share the post please.
