About Patara London

The Patara restaurant group has been creating contemporary fine Thai cuisine for over twenty years and has four branches in London and a further five worldwide in Singapore, Vienna, Geneva, Beijing and Bangkok. Patara’s London venues are run by Saipin Lee, recently named alongside Nigella Lawson, Ruth Rogers and Angela Hartnett in the ‘Women 1st Top 100 Most Influential Women’ listing for 2011.
With a focus on quality and fine presentation Thai restaurant Patara uses exotic meats, seafood, vegetables and spices to create a range of fine dining dishes including delicate curries, shellfish and meat dishes, fragrant Thai soups and light salads.

Described by Time Out (London Eating & Drinking 2010) as being ‘a chain only in the same way as Harvey Nichols’, Patara chefs create seasonal menus with a focus on delicate flavours and elegant fine dining presentation. Fish dishes include sea bass and blackened cod and shellfish options such as poached king scallops and rock lobster tail. Meat dishes range from exotic wild boar steak, curries of veal osso busco and tender beef fillet sautéed in cracked black pepper sauce with shitake mushrooms. The dessert menu is light and modern with pineapple carpaccio and coconut tart with stem ginger ice cream.

Patara restaurants are contemporary in design with dark wooden interiors off set by neutral colours. Wall mounted carvings and a miniature gold-leafed Buddhist temple in the centre of Patara Soho add a dramatic touch while tea lights set into the pale brick feature wall add soft flickering light.

Went for dinner to celebrate my daughter's 13th birthday before going to the Theatre which was only a couple of minutes away on foot. Staff very welcoming friendly and the ambience great. Food was amazing with a wide variety and service prompt but not rushed. Staff made my daughter feel very special and sung her happy birthday. Would definitely recommend.

Used to go at least 7 or 8 times a year when I lived in London, one of my favourite Thai restaurants. I moved away 5 years ago & went tonight as a special treat. Absolutely amazing, even better than I remember. Truly impressed, thank you for a lovely evening.

User

The meal was delicious and the service was superb. We stumbled upon the restaurant after the theater however I would definitely recommend for anyone visiting London.

Great atmosphere, lovely service and the food was delicious. We were out for the evening and wandered in without a booking and we weren't disappointed at all

User

Great Thai food - beautifully presented and it all tasted amazing. Lovely surroundings and all the staff were so polite, friendly and efficient.

Delighted they were able to accommodate us on a busy Saturday evening, despite us not having made reservations. Huge thanks to beautiful Hanna, Tik and all the other staff we came into contact with for making our experience so pleasant. We will definitely return.

User

Five star, service was excellent, food was amazing, every time I am in London it's my first port of call for a meal, you will not be disappointed.

User

First visit here last night and the food and service were great. We had the banquet set menu which was amazing and extremely good value. The staff were really friendly and attentive as well. Would definitely recommend!

User

Fantastic food and service, the attention to detail and customer service was perfect.

I had asked a waiter walking past before we had sat at our table for a straw for my drinks. 5 minutes later we were sat at our table and I thought I’d have to ask my allocated waiter for a straw now but to my surprise I was handed a straw, it’s the little things that make a difference to the dining experience.

Highly recommend

User

User

User

Great food and service. Expensive for Belgian/Dutch norms. But it was worth it.

User

First time visited this restaurant as recommended by friend. Food was good but not what I expected unfortunately as there are far more better Thai restaurant in town. My favourite Thai food is normally tom yum prawn and sea bass with chillies and lime but the taste unfortunately does not satisfy me much. They can do better as I’m originally from Asia and I know what Thai food tastes like. As an overall otherwise atmosphere is great , staffs are friendly and very welcoming. Well done.

User

Second time here and in comparison to first time , was sadly disappointed. Staff are great , so polite and friendly. Starters beautiful but my main of fillet of beef, did not enjoy at all . It was bland and the sauce tasted awful . I wasn't asked by the male waiter if I enjoyed it .clearly I didn't as didn't eat much of it . I didn't want to make a fuss . Plus it was our anniversary celebration but left feeling hungry and disappointed. Despite this , we probably will go back as loved it on our first visit ..
