Old fashioned hotel in superb location. Good place to stop for a drink while out walking around Ullswater

Staff friendly food good with a lot of choice. Rooms clean bar price reasonable. Can be slightly noisy at night as a large hotel .

Lovely quiet location with super views and easy access to many walks. Comfortable room with nice bed and super shower. The staff are very friendly and attentive and the food is excellent.

Excellent staff. Great food. Amazing location ideal for walking and cycling straight out the front door. Decore is a little tired but everything worked so no issues. Would stay again.

Nice friendly place and very good value.

We decided to go here for a Sunday dinner, what we recieved surprised us all. We were each given a plate of roasted meat with gravy, chips! beetroot and turnips. Not exactly your conventional Sunday dinner. We felt like the hotel guests were their only priority and that we were a nuisance, yet they'd take our money and throw together whatever was spare in the kitchen. We certainly vowed never to eat there again.

First time stay friendly staff great views good food we will be back
